On his way out, Kiber pulled up short at a comms screen next to the door to his apartment. A message was flashing in bright red, telling him to meet Mr. Kradres in his personal parking garage on the second floor. Once outside his apartment, Kiber again boggled at the grand display of wealth on show in his employers building. The walls were decked in real oak wood and the floors in cold marble. Down the hall, the elevator was also covered in real oak wood, the carpet was soft red cotton. Subtly nestled in the wood was a screen, on which Kiber selected Mr. Kradres private garage. Kiber felt the elevator sync with his neural implant for a moment, once satisfied that he had the correct security clearance, it began to descend.
Once the elevator reached its destination, he stepped out into a pure white marble room, Mr. Kradres was standing in the center with his back to Kiber. As Kiber approached, the floor in front of Mr. Kradres split open and a sleek Lev-Car rose up into the room. It looked to be made in the old style, with flowing lines over the four Lev-Spheres and long rectangular windows. It was an off white color, with what looked to be real gold trimmings. Kiber could tell just by looking that it was state of the art, despite its old style appearance. The Lev-Spheres and Induction links were probably top of the line and he had no doubt that it was heavily armored.
As Kiber slowly walked up, he announced himself, remembering to use Mr. Kradres first name, "That's quite the car you have there Cedron." He answered as he turned to meet Kiber, a proud grin on his face, "Ooooh yeees, one of my favorites too. I hope you are well rested, I have many things to show you today" Kiber responded grimly, "As well rested as one can be with teleportation sickness I suppose." Mr. Kradres began moving moving toward the drivers side of the car as he quipped," Well perhaps being driven around in a beautiful car will liven you up a bit!" Kiber opened the door to the passenger side and as he sat thought to himself, I don't know why i'm surprised anymore. The interior was all real leather and real wood, gold made up the trimmings. Into all this the usual tech of a modern car was subtly incorporated.
As Mr. Kradres closed his door, Kiber couldn't help but ask, "You drive yourself?!" With a sly smile he said, "Of course I do, I wouldn't trust anyone else to drive my cars around." With that he turned the car on with his neural implant. A soft humming noise from the Induction links accompanied the slow rise of the car as the Lev-Spheres powered up. With barely contained excitement, Mr. Kradres announced, "Well Kiber, time to show you my beautiful city!" As the marble wall in front of the car split open, Kiber couldn't help but wonder if there was a double meaning to his employers last statement.
