Long ago, before the Multiverse was made, there were the elementals. There were six different types of elementals: earth, fire, air, water, and the opposites. The opposites were made up of three opposing forces of nature creating the two other types of elementals; darkness, order, and destruction; creating one type, and light, chaos, and creation, making up the other. Each type of elemental had its own unique realm to live that was shaped simply by it living there. However, the elementals despised one another to the point that they constantly fought over the borders between the realms. The constant fighting eventually, creating a place where the elements were so muddled together that they canceled each other out and created a vast emptiness that was filled with nothing.
One of the High Kings, that ruled each of the six realms, noticed what was happening and realized what the fighting was causing. He then sent a messenger to each High King of the five other realms, bringing their attention to the nothingness. In this message he suggested a temporary truce meet in the center of the nothing to decide what should be done about the nothing and the slow destruction of their realms because the constant fighting. The other High Kings agreed to this and soon met in the middle of the nothing.
The first to arrive was the King of Darkness. With infinite patience he waited for the others to arrive. Next, came the King of Light with its constantly shifting form. The next to arrive was the King of the Air, bringing its wake. Quick upon this king's heels approached the Fire King, anxiety causing the fire of its form to change rapidly and nervously, to and from a roaring blaze to a meek flickering. Then came the King of the water realm, her movements filled with a quite grace. Last to arrive was the King of Earth, its arrival signaling the end of the waiting.
Seeing this, the Earth King spoke, "Since, it seems, I am the last to arrive, let the meeting begin."
And so it began, peacefully enough at first, but soon escalated into shouting and yelling as the hatred that they had for each other came out into the open. Before it could go any further, something appeared, unnoticed in the middle of the struggle and spoke.
"Enough," was all it said.
Though the word was spoken softly, and the voice itself was small, it was heard. Beyond the turmoil, above the shouting, and through the hatred it was heard by the six kings and stilled them. They wondered who had spoken for all they knew was that it had to be one of the others because they themselves hadn't said it. Then one of the Kings asked the question that was in every one of their minds, "Who spoke?"
The voice answered, "I did."
Their attention was drawn to the middle of the meeting place for that was where the owner of the voice stood. The being was strange as it seemed to be made of all the elements and of them at the same time. Its form was just as unique because it was unlike anything they had had ever seen.
