I took the brown envelope from Cassidy’s hand, opened it, inside was about fifty dollars. I looked up at Cassidy, she’s really tall. “Thank you...” I said quietly, and she smiled down at me. I started to look around the shops, there were too many to go to all of them. Should I just save all of the money and come back later? No. If Cassidy saw that I hadn’t used any of the money, she might feel bad... I had to buy at least one thing! I walked down the hall, looking through all the shops. At one point I saw a sewing machine on display, it looked like a really nice model; there was a sign, ‘50% off!!’ I looked at the price, maybe I could save up for it? ‘$5’ Wait... so, originally it was only ten dollars?? I bought it. “How old are you?” The man working at the register asked, eyeing my height and flat chest, “Can you even work a sewing machine?” “I’m fourteen.” I mumbled, it’s really annoying to have people questioning my age all the time, “I’ve been sewing for years.” The man looked embarrassed, and apologized. I took the bag from him and walked back to the hallway, right next to that shop, there was a shop with fabric and string. $1 for fabric, $0.25 for a spool of string or a bobbin. I bought four different fabrics, two spools of white thread, and two white bobbins. The lady at that register questioned my age too. Thinking I had everything I’d need, I looked around the shops, trying to find any of the others. I came to one of the bookstores, and saw Jex through the window, talking to somebody else, she had white hair, red eyes, and super pale skin. She was wearing a purple shirt that went off one shoulder, a black miniskirt, and black thigh highs. Her hair was straightened, and it came a bit past her shoulder. The girl saw me through the window, she smiled and waved at me, Jex looked around at me, and smiled. I walked into the store to talk to them. “Hi!” Said the girl with some sort of foreign accent that I couldn’t place, “What is your name?” “Kaidie...” I answered her shyly, “Wonderful name!” The girl exclaimed, almost dropping the bag she was holding, “My name is Vynn!” “She’s a writer.” Jex told me, “Ahh yes, that reminds me. Where is my sister, Vix?” Vynn asked no one, “She was supposed to be here a while ago!” I started to hear a sad clicking noise from the hallway, I looked around at the window, there was a girl walking with her head down who looked exactly like Vynn. “Vix!” Vynn jumped out the door and gave her sister a hug, squishing Vix’s face into her own. I couldn’t help but be a little bit jealous, I used to want a sister. “This is Kaidie and Jex!” Vynn gestured at as, Vix looked up at us gloomily and waved with dead eyes. Vix looked exactly like Vynn, just with messier hair. The sisters walked into the store to meet us, “Hello, I’m Vix.” Vynn’s sister said with a sad tone, “I am my sister, Vynn’s artist. We have a manga series. ((doujinshi cough cough)) It is called ‘Uba’. “What is the story about?” I asked Vix, she seemed to enjoy talking about Uba. “The main character, Atsui Rezu, adopts a child, she cares about her a lot, Rezu names her adoptive daughter ‘Shojo-ka’ Rezu loves Shojo-ka so much that she wants to give Shojo-ka another parent, but as a surprise. While Shojo-ka goes to school, Rezu goes on dates with all kinds of attractive women. Most of the dates end... well~” I was kind of scared of what ‘well’ could mean. “So... why is this the place to meet?” I asked both of the sisters, “Because~~ we have to deliver the newest book to the manager.” Vynn exclaimed, seeming to appear out of nowhere. “So, what’re both of your abnormalities?” Jex asked, genuinely curious, “We’re demons.” Vix answered in a monotone voice. “Some demons come to this school instead of Hell School because they don’t want their life to be just murdering humans. The demons that go to Hell School (most of them) become devils when they are older. A devil is much more satanic than a demon. Devils are filled with hatred and evil. All devils were born demons, but Hell School teaches them to hate everything. But when a demon comes to Amorphous instead, they stay demons forever; there’s only ever been one that didn’t...” Vynn explained, but was cut off by Vix, “Hiahoh ((Ya-Ho)) was a demon that went to Amorphous, she didn’t go because she wanted to though, her parents were demons, and they sent Hiahoh to Amorphous so they could have a demon daughter, not a devil. But Hiahoh liked Hell School, she really wanted to be a devil. When Hiahoh got to Amorphous, the teachers could tell that Hiahoh was more evil than the demons that they normally taught. The principal at the time called upon heaven, an angel, and the angel appeared, she was beautiful. The angel’s name was Alola Malak. Alola was called to watch over Hiahoh, and make sure she didn’t do anything to become a devil. But one day, Alola was needed in heaven, she went back to do what she needed to do, but left Hiahoh alone for a few hours; with the hours that she was free, Hiahoh knew what she was going to do. She went down to where humans are, and she murdered a schoolgirl named Kio Siori. Fulfilling her transformation into a devil. Once a devil, she was expelled from Amorphous. The only student to ever be expelled from Amorphous. But the thing about devils is... they physically can’t go to the human realm, and by becoming a devil while already being in the human realm, Hiahoh can move between realms.” “So... is Hiahoh.. like.. still alive?” Jex asked awkwardly, “Hiahoh is only a bit older than you. Yes, she is still alive.” Answered Vix, her dead eyes glowing their red colour. “But don’t worry about her, she doesn’t care about us at Amorphous~” Vynn sang, “‘Ey! Demon girls! C’mere!” A deep man’s voice said from behind Vix and Vynn, causing them to turn around, “Don’t ya have the book for me?” “Oh~ of course we do~!” Vynn said, cheerfully giving the bag she was holding to a man behind the counter, “Thanks.” He said, taking a thick book out, on the cover, there was a young girl in the foreground with a sort of school uniform on, a busty woman wearing a little black dress and glasses, and three women in the background, one had hair over her eye, she was wearing a purple hoodie and jeans, the second had her hair tied back into a loose ponytail, she had a mole underneath her lip and was wearing a t-shirt and shorts, the third lady had really long hair, she was wearing a black tank top and a short red skirt, in the bottom right corner it said: 5. At the very top of the picture, Uba. ‘Art by Vix Viycluxen, Story by Vynn Viycluxen’ “That’s the 5th volume?” Jex asked, “Yes.” Vix answered him. She didn’t seem to care. “Alright, we’d better get back to meet our friends.” Jex mentioned, noticing the clock on the wall. I waved goodbye to the three, and we walked out of the store.
