It was there where I first felt a strange sensation as the beast took over my body. The pain in my chest and throat faded away and was replaced by a feeling I can only describe as being what it must be like to have one's insides be turned into liquid. In all likely hood, it was exactly what was happening to them just before the black beast changed and reshaped them to suit its needs. It wasn't a painful or an unpleasant feeling; it was just, for a lack of a better term, a very, Very weird one.

     I felt my body relaxed on its own as the sensation filled my chest and abdomen before spreading further outward to my limbs and extremities. My awareness of my surroundings faded too, until it seemed as if my changing body was only thing left in existence. I felt my body stretch, lengthen, and grow as a new empty cavity formed where my guts used to be. My limbs, hands, and feet also grew, lengthen, and changed to better fit the new size and shape of my body. As they changed, they were also filled with a new hard and wiry strength which felt like it would be unbreakable if tested. The nails on my fingers and toes turned into sharp claws while my feet became more dragon-like.

     My head similarly changed its size in order to be more proportionate to the rest of my body and I could feel my jaw bone split in three places during the process. Once at my chin and again at the corners to form new joints. A few new muscles then grew to help manipulate the new configuration while my dull human teeth were replaced by long, narrow, needle sharp ones. They were lined up against each other in a single row without leaving any gaps in between them. Finally my flesh gathered around the upper and lower parts of my back before surging outwards to form a giant pair of bat like wings and a long muscular tail. My clothes must have disappeared at some point earlier because they weren't there to impede the growth of the wings and tail.

     With beast's manipulation of my body complete, my external senses returned to me and I became painfully aware of as to how cramped it had now become between the pedestal and Indy's barrier. The beast had more than doubled or even tripled the size of my body. This did not include the two wings and tail it had added while it had been manipulating my body to suit its needs. We didn't stay there for very long though as the beast took full control of my body from me and worked us free of our prone position. Thankfully, this new form of ours was extremely flexible and it soon had us standing and taking stock of our current situation.

     While the beast had been busy with taking over and transforming my body, the monster hybrids had kept up their assault on Indy's barrier and had made noticeable headway against it. Countless gaps had appeared in the once tightly woven structure, allowing light and air to come in from outside. The fresh air brought with it various scents that the beast's heightened senses could easily pick out. The most prominent of them, which awoke the black beast's hunger, was the metallic scent of blood heavily mixed with the heady musky smell of the numerous monster hybrids surrounding us beyond confines of the barrier.
