"Violet~" I heard Tai cooing to me as they draped their tanned arms over my shoulders, their long auburn-red braid following suit; I felt Tai's head tilting to kiss me on the cheek. My vision blocked by the long bang of blonde hair that falls over my right eye- that and I was much more interested in the game on my phone.
The Phone, one of the many devices that succubi have "re-invented" in Hell as from something of the human world.
"I'm hungry." Tai prattled on, "Do you want to go out... Or visit a few quarter-bloods... Order in..?" When I didn't respond, screen-tapping noises filling the silence, they continued. "I could take you somewhere nice with my gate key, Violet." They hummed in thought, head resting on mine. I tilted my head towards Tai, our small, contrasting horns clicking against one another. The symbols of our queen heritage, dark buffalo-esque horns in my case, are nearly identical aside from color.
Agrat bat Mahlat, the queen of the sector that Tai and I live in, characterizes her pure children with the gift of her bovine-like horns and reddish eyes that range from orange to bloody. Tai has such lovely, vibrant red eyes.
Opening my mouth to speak finally, I am- unsurprisingly- interrupted by Tai. "I'll just feed myself and come back to share with you," They speak tersely then laugh, "I'd rather have you all to myself, after all." I twisted my mouth to the side, biting the inside of my lip. Tai has a penchant for deciding things on their own. My eyes flicker towards them, just catching a glimpse through my hair as they rise. The weight of them gone made me feel lighter and colder.
I had been distracted from my game for an increasingly extended period of time, looking down I notice I had run out of time to complete the puzzle I'd been working on. I softly scowled as Tai walked away. "I'll be back, Violet. Wait for me and think about me in all sorts of ways~" They let out a naughty giggle as they closed the door, but not before I caught them winking at me. I sigh wistfully, sinking further into the large plush cushion I was sitting on. I glance out the window. The gray light that the so-called "Pit of Corruption" allowed through the window of my room was much like a human realm stormy day- It isn't the darkest our world can get, but it isn't the brightest either. Canals run through our city and pomegranate trees line the shore; Our industrial-like living could be beautiful in its ways... Especially in the pureblood family sectors.
The twangy tune of a banjo interrupts my train of thought. I look down at my phone. Red's stupid face plasters itself on my screen, it's a picture of him sneezing, and I am quite proud of it. His bronze-colored, chiseled look that can probably be seen as attractive to some poor shmuck, was contorted into the ugliest expression in the image: Snot flying out of his nose and a stalk of wheat mid-air in the still frame, his chin buried into the red bandanna he was always wearing. His fashion sense is regrettable. I'd relate it to the attempt of a sexy cowboy, but I personally say he's not so lucky to look good in it. It is near impossible to find him in anything but a shirtless vest, black silken underwear, and ass-less chaps. I press my thumb to the call icon, holding the device to my ear.
"Well howdy, brother." I drawled teasingly.
