Cal & Josh

Hungover Regrets *OLD*

Hungover Regrets *OLD*

Jan 20, 2018

Josh woke slowly, rubbing his eyes and yawning as he rolled over and tried to make out the bright red numbers on his alarm clock. 06:48am. He groaned as he tried to sit up, the throbbing pain in his head making him slightly dizzy, and swung his legs over the edge of the bed.

He looked around the room, noticing a glass of water on his nightstand and taking a sip, ignoring the fact it was from the previous day - and was now warm. That's when he walked into the living room and noticed Cal, curled up on the floor with Friday under his arm. The cat looked up and let out a soft noise of contentment, padding over to Josh and pawing his legs, causing him to look down at her with a frown. It wasn't like he didn't want Cal there, he was mostly confused, sure he was attractive yes - and Josh was most certainly gay, but the whole suitor thing was...well, he wasn't fully opposed to it, but he would have preferred to date someone for a little while before the whole 'you are now husband and husband, smooch his face' thing. That and his past relationships were well, high-school crushes that he didn't really have plans to properly spend his life with, they held hands for a day and then just forgot about it. Josh would have quite happily been with Cal, sure, but for one - he'd yet to have a proper relationship as such, and who's to say Cal just wanted a suitor or whatever to please his parents and that's it? He probably didn't even like Josh. Or he had plenty of people on the side if Josh said no. Sure, he was probably overthinking things but that was his job, to overthink things and stress himself out.

"Mornin,"

Cal's voice snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked up, noticing the older man leaning his head on his hand and looking up at him.

"Oh, hey. Morning...sorry. About yesterday. Me getting drunk I mean." Josh spoke quickly, mumbling and chewing his bottom lip nervously, "I didn't mean anything I said, I can't overly remember what I said but I probably didn't mean it." He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and avoided Cal's gaze, for some reason feeling embarrassed for being so childish around the other man.

Cal snorted, "What, ya don't wanna get in my pants? Shame. Also you were right about being long, I'm quite well endowed."

"I'm going back to bed."

{currently being rewritten}
Drunk and bored, Josh decides to summon a demon, but didn't exactly expect it to work - or that his religion class professor would appear in his apartment - nor that they'd fall for each other.
