I abandoned my blanket and bed to make my way out into the hallway. There were 4 people in the hall, my brother- Luke- Mike, Kian and Nova. I started to make my way over to stand next to my brother when someone stopped me.

"Go back to your room, Holly," Kian said," This isn't for you to handle."

"What's going on here," I asked Nova, trying to ignore Kian's statement. They always tried to leave me out of these things but they'd wake up the whole pack if they don't keep it down.

"Kian's right, Hol, just let us take care of it."

"How can I know if I can't help if I don't even know what it is?"

"You don't have to though, why don't you go back to sleep?"

"Because I would rather know what's going on? Luke, please tell me?"

He looked between his two sisters and I wondered which he would support- The older one who was trying to keep her younger away from what ever drama they had started or the younger who wanted to help her family out of it.

He chose both.

"It's nothing, Holly, I just came out here and saw something I didn't want," he glared at Mike," to see."

That's when it clicked in my head that he had seen Nova and Mike together. Yeah, he's probably pissed. So they started fighting and Kian came out to help.

This is stupid, human, I'm tired.

I know, but you have to admit that it's a bit more exciting then that book.

"And if I ever see that happen again I will rip your throat out, you little-"

He was intterupted by something. A low growl coming from somewhere deep inside me. Somewhere I didn't even know existed. Everyone paused to look at me. A small smile threatened to lift the corners of my lips. Finally.

"Maybe we could try talking in the morning," Luke and Mike opened their mouths but I held up one finger and added," Before you wake up the Luna."

That made everyone shut up.

It's about time.

"Fine," Luke glared at Mike before smiling a bit," You do the honor first, Michael."

Mike looked him square in the eye and leaned in to Nova to whisper something in her ear. She giggled and he kissed her cheek before going to his room on the other side of Luke's. Nova and Luke both went to their rooms. Then it was just Kian and I in the hall.

"Thanks for helping out there, I thought one of our brothers would be walking away with a piece out of them."

"Yeah, no problem," I thought about the growl earlier and rubbed my throat," I have no idea where that came from."

"I do," I looked back up at him. He had moved closer, his eyes turned darker blue-black as he looked at me. I felt my own go dark as I looked at him. He looked so much more handsome in the dark, the shadows casted over his face and I noticed for the first time tonight that he wasn't wearing a shirt, just sweat pants.

"Kian," I whispered. His hand found it's way up to my cheek. My eyes fluttered for a second before my hand went around his neck and the rested on his upper back. Have his eyes always looked that blue? That deep? I could stare into them all day.

Suddenly, I noticed that his mouth was dangerously near mine. Then on it. His lips molded against my own in perfect rhythm. My mouth opened for him to enter with out a second thought, in the back of my mind I heard my wolf whisper something but it was to rapid for me to take notice.

My hands wrapped tighter around his neck in order to pull him even closer to me, his went up and down my ribs and he transitioned his face to the other side in order to get the other side of my mouth as we backed up into my room.

He jerked away sharply and stared at me for a second. Somewhere in the back of my fuzzy mind I thought of Hannah but that was quickly removed from my mind when he pushed my body up against the mirror harshly. His hands returning to my sides as his lips returned to mine.

It lasted only a second before they traveled down my neck to the base. I lost myself in his continuous and heated kisses in the same place, his teeth slowly getting sharper. They elongated until they were sharp to the touch.

"Mate."

Hovering just over my skin, he waited. I was about to fall into his from the suspense before he actually sunk his teeth into my skin. I didn't wait before repeating the action to him, lapping up the blood afterwards.

It isn't like vampires claim to feel after drinking blood, it's like- How do I put it? I felt full. Like nothing was ever going to happen that could possibly surpass this moment. He whispered it earlier but I found the same words leaving my own lips when I had nothing else to say.

"Mate."

And just like that, I was not only marked but also mated.

And just like that my mate was gone.
