Homers’ Thoughts:
I love my room. One can see the sun set and the moon rise through its' window. When the sky is clear, I see the dance of stars above the vast ocean. The scenery is just gorgeous.
Although we live in a city, our house is located on a cliff, making the sound of sea-gulls and waves my lullaby. Inside the room, there is a bed that comfortably engulfs my average sized body. It is usually covered with a dark red silky blanket.
There is also a nightstand in the furthest corner of my room with a hand-carved wooden chest sitting on it. Resting on the mid wall, you'll find a full sized mirror. Mom insisted on that one...she thinks that a lord should never dress unkempt.
Next to it, is a closet filled with clothes. I once counted that if I were to wear one shirt seven times a year I would still end up with eighteen- unused. what a waste!!!....Almost everyone is given seven set of clothing upon their birth. Based on their aura, the number of times one could transform their clothing into something new and flashy varies. Since I don't have magic and am a noble one, mom stocked me up on clothing.
My room is very non-magic friendly. Dad did this so that I would feel more comfortable in my own skin. I love him more everyday because of it.
I heard a knock. “come iiiin” I shouted.
“Dinner is ready. You can come down. sir”, said Miss towiester.
I love how she switches to honorifics when she senses there is a single noble soul beside me breathing in our proximity.
"Thank you, ma'am. I'll do as you wish." I said Mockingly.
She walked out frustrated and a bit annoyed. I gave myself one last look at the mirror and hopped out of my room. Uhmmmm. I smell roasted chicken with potatoes. Mia must be trilled. Mom believes that whatever we eat, our helps should also eat. So tonight, Mia will get her favorite food.
Ann and Tim, my annoying but caring siblings, are sitting across one another at the table with mom and dad in front and back. My plate was placed next to Anns’. Thank GOD! whenever we have chicken if I sit next to Tim, I end up eating nothing and I mean NOTHING.
"How was Your day?", Asked Ann.
“Boring but okay. I had to memorize the name of all the kings and their ladies’ in waiting from decades ago........" I took a bit of chicken and continued, "But then I got to go to the beach with Miss. Towiester. So that was nice”
“Lucky you. At three, dad had me learn how to refine my battle skills. My every muscle and bone had to go through extraneous exercises. I had to learn how to throw at specific speed and make objects land where he wanted them. Soooo Not Fair.... ” Tim argued.
"we are all lucky in our own ways, brother" I replied while chugging the last bit of chicken into my mouth.
