The Queen of the Heavens, hight Morrigna la Seule Déesse, is the one true deity. In modern tongues it translates to ‘Morrigna, the Sole Goddess.’
The Primordial Dawn came when the Goddess willed the cosmos into creation. The moment She has done so, time began to stream continuously and it accompanied all the vicissitude She so delicately shaped.
Amongst all Her creations, She had a particular favorite: A wandering celestial body, hight Gaia.
The skies stretched around it, encompassing everything with its fair blue splendour. The lands were brown, while the waters reflect the beauty of the heavens above.
With the grace She bestowed, Gaia’s soil turned green and flowers bloomed beautifully while the trees bore many wondrous fruits. She also created different lovely creatures to roam the vast lands, sail the open seas, and soar through the endless skies.
Wanting to share its beauty, the Goddess created the First Mortals to whom She endowed the gift of ‘Free Will.’ She then tasked them to take care of Gaia with their newfound blessings.
Through the millenia, She taught them how to sustain their bodies and how to nourish their souls. When death approached and their souls flourished, they are reincarnated into the next life after a hundred years. The process repeats itself until they have achieved true enlightenment as a culmination of their past lives. Once successful, they will be able to rise to the Heavens and partake in the Heavenly Feast.
Among Her creations, Morrigna chose seven exemplary individuals beyond the ordinary passage of time. She gave them the ‘Heavenly Blessing’ which enabled them to enter Heaven and endowed them with immortality and other heavenly powers. These beings were called the ‘Holy Saints’ and they aided in promoting love, peace, and order to the ever-growing populace.
Centuries went adrift and a sudden darkness crept in the heavens. For reasons untold, The First Holy Saint wanted to unseat the Goddess and plotted against Her.
He spread a miasma containing his malice to the people of Gaia who began to scorn nourishing their souls. The people then started to give into their desires. They forgot their roots and lived shamelessly, even abdicating their duties in taking care of the the Goddess’ creation.
The Almighty Goddess willed to cleanse the world of such impurities and summoned the Great Firestorm. She only saved a handful of each of the races who still stayed true to their duties.
She punished the fallen saint and imprisoned him in an eternity of suffering as he was stripped off of his immortality. He was continuously reincarnated into living a hellish life, only to die and be born once more to experience unending grief and despair.
The Goddess then stepped down from Heaven. With Her Holiness encased within a mortal body, She helped reshape the people’s faith and rebuild the order in Gaia.
In seven decades, after her work was done, She fell into a deep slumber. This is how the Peerless Morrigna disappeared, even from the sights of the Holy Saints.
While praying to the Second Holy Saint, the Great Sage of the Northern Flannes has prophesied that the shackles that kept the First at bay will weaken and that He will be able to wreak havoc in the world.
And with that, the Goddess will awaken to help save the people and to judge those who have fallen into the darkness. All of which will transpire until the Antipodal Dusk.

Promise me that you’ll help me remember.
The hairs on my skin stood for a bit as a wild thumping started in my chest. My clenched hand found my heart and pressed against it while I tried to calm myself with slow breathing.
That voice... It sounded like the voice I have in this dreamworld. I put down the book beside me.
It seems reading about the goddess triggered a memory. Wait, so this really means that I am connected to her? Or that I AM her? If so, who was I talking to?
This was their creation story. It’s kind of similar to one of the predominant religions back at my old world, but it’s also different at the same time.
So... I came back to save and to judge the populace of Gaia.
Darn, I’m so curious. I wonder what really happened twelve thousand years ago. How was a deity driven to almost wipe out her beloved creation?
Die.
Another voice played in my head. This time, it was not my own but rather a faint voice that sounded like a prelude to despair.
I scanned the inn for anything that’s out of place.
Kiel was bringing out a small bag of coins from his pocket, probably to pay for our fees for the night. I noticed a protruding black tattoo on the nape of his neck, barely visible because of his long hair. I wouldn’t have seen it if he didn’t remove his jacket. I couldn’t make out what it was, but I can probably ask him some other time.
How come others are still happy?
Where the heck is that creepy voice coming from?
A few steps to my left was an old man who was slowly rocking his chair as he smoked his pipe. His hands wrinkled by time were holding onto an aged piece of paper.
Five round wooden tables are found in the inn’s main reception. Four were arranged in a square while the fifth one was placed in the in the midst of it all.
Why am I the only one to suffer?
Only two tables were occupied. One of them had a slovenly woman slowly sipping her drink, while the other had two armored men. One was a gruff man with a sword tucked away on his waist. His expression was light as he chatted away with his tall but slightly skinny companion who was also armed.
Death is the only answer.
Something small darted past the people and ran out of the inn.
It was a little girl.
She wore a short white dress that barely flowed with each quick step she took. Her hair was the color of autumn wrapped into twin tails; with red beads decorating the hair tie binding each strand together.
They should all die!
The voice became shrill and I felt like there were hundreds of jackhammers hounding by my ears, which I attempted to cover but to no avail.
I couldn't take it anymore. I can't just sit here!
I got off my seat and quickly went after her.
I pumped my legs, which helped me gain momentum until the steps I took quickly became strides and it didn’t take long before they turned into leaps. Yet, I still wasn’t able to fully catch up with the young child who only seemed to be in her pre-teens.
“Wait!” I shouted as I extended my arm towards her direction. How the hell can someone with such a small body run that fast? I stopped briefly to tear the bottom of my dress to help me move quicker.
The subtle wind blowing towards me whipped my golden curls back as I passed by houses with great speed. I tried to keep my breathing steady as a thin layer of sweat began to cover the nape of my neck and it also slid down to frame my face.
She turned left into an alley where the moonlight could not reach. Even though I knew nothing good came out of rushing to such places, i naively followed suit.
Once my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I saw the little girl standing still as if she was waiting for someone. Why did she stop all of a sudden?
Ah, she ran into a dead end.
I halted a few paces from her and my hands dropped to my knees as I gasped for air. “Hey... Why did you run? What happened? Are you okay?”
I have a bad feeling about this.
The little girl looked down on the floor as she stood immobile. Her arms started to shake feverishly. She then clenched her fists shut, probably in an attempt to stop the shaking.
The moment she looked up on me, tears were spilling out of eyes. “I’m... I’m scared. Please, help me.”
“Come here, don’t worry...” I immediately lunged towards her with my arms wide open. I was five feet away from hugging her when a voice bellowed.
Die.
Before I knew it, the fear in the little girl’s watered eyes was washed away and was replaced by a puzzled look. Amber locks fell as she slowly looked downwards. Soon enough, she was overcome with fear once more, as if it was eating her alive.
A sudden chill swept me on my knees as I saw blood slide down from the corner of her small lips and I felt my own eyes follow her line of sight, down to her chest.
A beautiful shade of crimson blossomed on her white dress. It was a devastatingly beautiful sight.
It was then when a black claw gnawed its way out, tightly clasping on a small red mass that continued to pump before it disappeared along with the shadow.
By the time the child fell into my arms, she was already dead.
This is just a dream, right? A child wasn’t brutally murdered in front of me, right? Right?
My vision became blurry since tears began to flood my eyes. I felt my lungs closing up and I found myself gasping for air as I held the little girl in my arms.
Are you fucking shitting me?!
She didn’t deserve this! She was just a girl! Dammit, I’m so fucking useless. Why the hell did this happen?!
The putrid smell of blood entered my lungs but I didn’t flinch. My shaky right hand found her eyes and gently slid them close before clinging onto her tightly.
I’m sorry...
I shouldn’t be the only one suffering.
“AHHHHHHHH!” A woman shrieked from behind me. I could barely make out her face when I turned to look.
“MY BABY!!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER? YOU BITCH!” The woman rushed towards me and grabbed the girl, pushing me to the ground in the process.
“I-I didn’t do it. There was a-a claw and...” I stuttered.
“Her heart... It’s gone.” The little girl’s mother spoke. “YOU MONSTER!”
I could barely hear what other hurtful words she was spouting as my attention was caught by the people who have just arrived. They seem to be curious about where all the noise was coming from.
My body started to shake on its own and I tried to control it by holding myself tight. I then realized that my light blue dress had been stained red with the child’s innocence and that the stench of the red fluid clung onto me.
“She murdered a child!” Another woman gasped.
“That witch carved her heart out!” A man yelled for others to hear.
It wasn’t too long before a crowd gathered and dozens of pairs of eyes looked at me with a mix of fear, disgust, and hatred.
“MURDERER!”
"KILLER!"
“Get her!!!”
My arms were grabbed by sturdy ones, almost dragging me on the ground. I tried to fight back but they were too strong.
“Please, I didn’t do it. You don’t have to do this. I only wanted to help-“ I pleaded.
I was getting weaker, even my resolve to attempt to defend myself from their accusations was slowly crumbling.
“SHUT UP YOU SPAWN OF EVIL!!!”
My forehead began to sting as a rock came into contact with it with much force.
Kiel... I’m sorry.
He's probably worried now.
My head was spinning, my heart was tightening, and my soul was being crushed. I can barely keep my consciousness at this point.
I’m innocent.
I didn’t kill her.
I'm not a monster.
I don’t know what killed her, but I’m sure that it wasn’t me.
Why is this happening to me, even in this world?
A single tear ran down my cheek.
I’m innocent.
Why won’t you believe me?
