The building Rylan and Nori stepped into was a mess at the moment. Phones were ringing off the hook, and people were yelling. Nori was very close to running back to the car.

"Don't worry love. It's not normally like this."

This was the first time Nori actually had the chance to see inside the police station. It made him want to rethink his current major, but maybe he could thrive in this chaos.

"Took you long enough, Rye." Another detective said, walking to greet them.

"There's something called a speed limit, you know." Rylan sighed. "Nori this is my partner, Rick Samul. I call him asshole for short. He'll most likely be the one to question you."

"Don't worry kid. There is an arrest out for that son of a bitch." Rick said, offering his hand for Nori to shake.

Nori looked at him hesitantly before taking it. Rick could already tell this kid was scared half to death, and probably wouldn't know how to fully cooperate, with everything going on.

"Come on Nori. We're going to do the questioning back here." Rick said, putting his hand on the Nori's shoulder. He flinched, and backed away, casting a worried look at Rylan.

"I'll be right out side, Love. Just tell them to call me if you need anything."

Nori nodded and followed Detective Rick. How the hell was he going to answer any of the questions if he couldn't talk? It didn't matter how hard he was trying to do so, something was holding him back.

The room he was lead into, was colder than the rest of the station. It's dark grey walls were suffocating, and seemed to hold one to many stories. It made Nori feel more like a criminal.

"Just sit down right here." Rick said pointing at the chair before he took the one across from it. Nori tightened Rylan's jacket around him. Rylan must have given it to him as a shock blanket, and it was certainly helping.

"Alright Nori. I want you to start from the beginning and tell me everything that happened." Rick said, handing him a notebook and pen.

'I went over to Maximum's house for tutoring, because my grade was so low in the class.' Now that Nori thought about it, that must have been by design. 'He completely lost it after that. I tried to leave and we ended up in a fight, then he choked me, and I ended up in the room.'

Rick frowned reading it. Choked him? Nori was lucky to not have suffered any permanent damage after that. "Rylan said you were chained up?"

Nori nodded quickly.

Rick took down a few notes thinking about what questions to ask next. He knew the next few were going to be difficult. "Nori. Did Maximum sexually assault you?"

Nori shook his head. Thankfully no.

"What were the conditions like?"

'I was always in the room, but he brought everything I needed. He broke into my dorm to get my clothes, and everything."

Nori thought b,ack to the pictures and felt chills over take his body. Every time when he was sleeping, or in the shower... or just about anything, Max was there. He was always there. Even if he was behind bars, Nori didn't think he could ever get away from him.

"Did Maximum say why he was doing all of this?" Rick asked.

'I don't really know in all honesty. He kept saying that he was in love with me. After I tried to get away, that's when everything went to hell. Max said I was his doll, but I was broken. He wanted to fix me.' Nori knew he would always remember that phrase, no matter how hard he tried not to.

"I don't think we even have a word to describe what happened here. It's certainly more than stalking and kidnapping." Rick sighed. "We're going to get him off the streets, Ok? You're safe, were searching his house right now."

Nori was glad to hear this... but he couldn't go back to his dorm tonight. Not with Max still out there. He would have no problem getting back in, and Nori didn't want to think about what would happen when he did. Even if there were cops outside, he didn't think it would help.

"Alright. I think that's all the information we will need to get that bastard behind bars. Where do you plan to stay tonight?"

Nori really wished these people would stop emphasizing the fact he should stay with someone. He didn't have anyone he trusted enough to do so. His dorm was the only choice, no matter how badly he didn't want it to be. 'My dorm, I guess?'

"Is there anyone you want to call? I can talk to them if you want." Rick noted with worry lacing his voice. Nori shook his head, causing Rick to sigh.

"All right kid come on. I can't let you leave yet, but the break room is much more comfortable. Maybe you can get some sleep, on the couch." Rick said walking Nori out of the office.

Nori looked over to Rylan who seemed to be going through paperwork with a female cop in uniform.

"Or if you want you can go over to Rye. Give him this for me." Rick smiled handing him a paper full of notes. Nori nodded and walked off.

He gently touched Rylan's shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey love. Are you doing ok?"

Nori nodded, handing him the paper. Rylan frowned as soon as he saw it.

"Nori. Do you want to go lay down in the break room?"

Why did everyone keep asking him that? Did he really look that bad? He shook his head and Rylan put his arm over his shoulders.

"Well if you get tired I'll show you where it is." He said leading the student to the worn little room. "Let's get some coffee since we're going to be here for a while." The room wasn't really much. It had a snack machine, a couch with coffee table and a coffee maker. The couch actually looked pretty comfortable at the moment. Rylan took a seat after making coffee for the both of them. He rubbed the back of his neck before taking a drink.

Nori stood by the door holding his coffee, awkwardly. "Love. You can sit down. This old thing is pretty comfortable." Nori sat down closer to Rylan than he should have. But he gave off a safe warm feeling, it was kind of addicting.

"It doesn't seem like you got much sleep. Being trapped there I don't think I would have either. It wouldn't hurt for you to just close your eyes for a few minutes."

Nori shook his head. Why didn't they get it? You can't just tell someone to relax and go to sleep.

Rylan coaxed Nori into leaning back. "Would you stay here, while I do then?" Nori blushed, staying completely still. He knew what Rylan was doing, but could bring him self to care. Nori was just so tired, and this room was so warm. It was ok, he was safe here. He could close his eyes for just a moment, right.

Nori was out with in minutes, Ryan managed to catch his coffee be for it spilt.

"Trust me love. You'll feel much better after some rest."

One thing Rick had noticed so far, was that Nori flinched, every time someone touched him. Other than when it was Rylan. He always did seem to have that effect on people..... It just never ended well. Rick couldn't keep up with the amount of people who had wanted to be with Rylan, because he seemed safe.In their line of work, it happened. People would cling to what ever they could.

Rylan walked out of the break room, softly shutting the door.

"Did Nori actually decide to get some rest?"

"Yeah. I talked him into laying down and he fell out." Rylan laughed.

"You used your Jedi minds tricks on him, didn't you?"

"I'm offend you would accuse me of manipulating him. He was was just tired, like the rest of us. Any word on Max?"

"No, it's like he knew to leave." Rick sighed.

"I agree... But I don't think he would just leave with out Nori. I saw the level of obsession he had. I know he's going to come after him, and drag the poor kid to who knows where." Rylan rubbed his temples as he said it.

"Believe me I know. That kid...why do you think Max did all of this. I mean he used to help you study for your police exams. We may not have been best friends with him, but he never seemed to be on that level of crazy." Rick ranted, something he typically did when he was worried.

"I know. I'm worried about Nori... He doesn't have anyone to stay with. We can't just drop him off at his dorm.... Even with a squad car patrolling outside. He can't even talk."

"You want to offer him a place to stay, don't you?" Rick deadpanned.

"I was thinking about offering. I'm not sure how he'd feel about going home with a random person he just met.... After everything." Rylan shrugged.

"Rylan... I'm not going to stop you, but I don't think this is a good idea."

"When have I ever listened to you?"

"At least talk to the chief about it."

"Hey love. Wake up for me." Rylan said shaking Nori just barely.

"Nmm..." Nori woke up, trying to blink the sleep away.

Rylan helped him sit up and handed him the notebook.

'How long have I been asleep?'

"Just an hour. It's time to get you out of here." Rylan smiled.

Right. He wanted to go back to his dorm where he was probably being stalked. Apparently Rylan was good at reading people.

"You know love. I have an extra room in my apartment. If you want to stay with me for a few days, I don't mind. The chief said it was ok."

Rylan was going to let a complete stranger in his house? Well who was Nori to judge? He certainly didn't want to go back to his dorm.

'Thank you. I hope it's not too much trouble.' Nori smiled.

"Of course not love. We're going to have to drop by your dorm, so you can get some clothes. I doubt anything of mine will fit you, but you're more than welcome to them." Rylan chuckled as they walked to the Camaro.

The dorm was a typical room. Small and a bit worn. Rylan had went in first just to be safe.

Nori was thankful Rylan was so kind to him. Honestly he seems to good to be true.

"Man. I forgot how small these rooms were." Rylan said nearly walking into a hanging light fixture.

Nori laughed. Finally one for the short people. He packed everything he needed and probably stuff he didn't, before they left.

The apartment was very nice and kept clean. Given the fact Rylan was on a cops salary, he wondered how he got a place in the city. The windows were huge, giving a view of everything under them. It almost gave Nori vertigo. Almost.

"Come on love, The room is this way. It's a bit small but functional."

It was nicer than Nori's dorm, by a long shot. Nori smiled gratefully. Wishing he had the voice to thank Rylan.

The room was really nice. It had a soft looking bed, a wardrobe and a desk.

"I'll be right down the hall of you need anything. The bath room if right next door." Rylan smiled at Nori, before he went to his own room.
