Do You ever wonder, the reason you weren't chosen to be the Hero is because the job position is already filled?
They say that we are destined to do great things, but what if the things I want cannot simply be achieved?
Doctors, lawyers, and even farmers all fill a role in society, but I am not content with doing any of these things.
I want to soar above treetops and sky scrapers.
I want to punch demons in the face with a single blow.
I want to hear the people of my town shouting my name with pride.
I want to do good.
When somebody asks me, what do I want to do with my life, I have to lie.
I feel like Peter Parker, Clark Kent, and Bruce Wayne except at night,
I have no where to go and no one else to be.
Is there a secret hero recruitment center I don't know about?
What are the prerequisites?
Is it having a troubled childhood, being science experiment, or ex-secret agent?
Do I need to have all of the above or can I get away with just having one?
Maybe they've already seen me and crossed my file out in red ink.
Maybe my story doesn't begin until my mid forties, when I've all, but given up hope.
Maybe my acceptance letter just got lost in the mail.
Maybe it's all of these things,
and maybe it's none of these things.
I feel like an unHero, I am born with the knowledge of how great I could become, if I was just given a chance and some proper combat training,
but my body is trapped in the simple citizen's skin.
And each day, it becomes more and more constricting.
I know, that I am not destined to be a Lois Lane, but a Superman
When will they see that too?

So that's my poem for this week. Some parts I liked more than others, but it's not too shabby all together, I would say. I was going to write a poem called Heartbreak Hotel, but maybe I'll turn it into a writing challenge instead. Fun Fact: Spiders have transparent blood. It is called Hemolymph, it transports nutrients, oxygen, hormones, and cells. It also has another job of raising the spider's blood pressure to help the molting process and spreading of legs. (Stuff like this is super interesting to me and I used a secondary source to learn more about the fact. You should check it out!)
