"Time is an abstract concept and we've shackled ourselves to it," said Barry.
"It's all pretty meaningless when you think about it. It's like a shared hallucination. We arbitrarily divide a day into smaller portions, and what do we get for it?"
He pointed at the clock on the wall.
"We're still slaves to a concept. A day, an hour, a minute: all meaningless."
Barry sighed.
"That being said, your shift starts at 10:00, not 10:30. Don't make me fire you over an abstract concept."
