"Why did you stop the movie?"
Isaac had his finger on the pause button.
"I...this might sound crazy but...I feel like I know where this story is going and I know the character is going to make the wrong choice and I just feel like if I pause the movie, maybe he doesn't have to get hurt. Maybe I can save him."
Tony put his arm around Isaac and hugged him.
"It's not crazy. I know how you feel. But think about this: if you feel this much for a character, that basically makes him real right? And in that case, you can't control him. You have to let him make his own choices, even if you know they're wrong. Otherwise, he's not alive, is he?"
Isaac nodded.
"You're right. Let's finish the movie. But be ready to comfort me in an hour when it all goes to hell."
"That's what I'm here for," said Tony.
