Did I really just agree to a date with Brina? WOW, Maya thought.

Maya got sick. She was vomiting up everything she was eating. She couldn't go to school on tuesday. Instead she stayed home and watched her favorite tv series. She was disappointed. The date was most certainly not going to happen now.

A few hours later her phone rang. It was aunt Petra. “Hello.”said Maya

“Hi, are you feeling better?”

“No, if anything I feel worse.”

“Poor girl. Could you do me a favor?”

“Yeah, anything for you aunt Petra. What do you need?”

“Logg inn to my computer and send me a file. I forgot to do it before I left.”

“Okay, sand me the logg inn password?”

“Thank you Maya. You're a life saver.”

Maya had sent to documents to her aunt. She accidentally opened a file. Maya stared at the content of the file. The photos in the file was not something she expected to be on her aunts computer.

Maya sat for hours going through every file she could find. She couldn't believe it. Aunt Petra was not who Maya thought she was. She had tears in her eyes. She couldn't take it anymore. Quickly she left the office, ran down the stairs, and grabbed her phone.

Maya called Brian. She saved the number the day he called her when Amber got hurt. She thought it would be useful if Amber needed her fro something. Brian picked up the phone after a few rings. “Brian.” Maya cried. “Maya? Maya?! What's wrong?!”

“Can you please come?”

“Yeah, yeah, sure. I’ll be there soon.”

“Bye.” Maya said. Brian went to protest, but he didn't get the chance to.

Brian was knocking on her door sooner than she thought was humanly possible. She opened the door. The first thing she did when he came into view was cry. She didn't know why, but she felt like she could trust him.

Brian took her in his arms and hugged her. He was still confused as to why she was crying, but he didn’t question in.

Maya and Brian were in the kitchen. Brian was making pancakes with strawberries, while Maya was sitting at one of the barstools at the disk.In front of her sat a hot cup of tea and chocolate.Brian had found it for her.

“Thank you for coming over.”

“No problem. Can I ask why you called me so late? It’s over midnight.”

“My aunt killed my parents.”

“What?” Brian's eyes went wide.

“I found the plans on her computer. She paid someone to shoot them on their way to get me from training. They went in the river. Mom didn’t get shot, but she drowned.”

Brian was silent. He didn’t know what to say. After awhile Maya started to cry again. “Oh God! Simon! He's with her!” Maya panics.

“Maya, talk to me.”

“Amber is staying with your sister right?”

“Yes, do you want to come stay at my house with her until Simon comes back?” Brian asks.

Maya nodds. She's already on her way to her room to pack her things.

While Maya is packing, Brian mindlink his parents about Maya and the situation. They understand, and agree to Brians plan.
