My name is Irene or people called me Rere. After being rescued by survivor from the evacuation zones one year ago, we were brought here. Me, Tyler, Andrew and Linda. I'm so tired from killing zombies yesterday that I fell asleep the moment I touch the bed. But it was short lived. 

Suddenly, an alarm woke me up. I groan and it's ringing loudly in my ears that it made me shot up and trying to break-- no, turn it off. I finally managed to turn it off and I realized that morning light started seeping through the windows.

I heard a light snore around my stomach area. Apparently, it came from a boy that looked younger than me. My brother. He was wearing green pajamas. Tears are running down his cheeks, it seemed nightmare still haunting him ever since we got here. I wish I could do something about it. But, I guess it's not gonna happen soon.

So to say, we were here after being rescued by a bunch of military people. They came to us the moment we were attacked by them. We're glad about it, but something piqued my interest. How did they know about our situation? I have lots of questions, but no answers from them. 

Food, water and shelter already prepared for us beforehand. In a span of days, we're getting used to live here, not knowing that hell is just outside of the barricade. Barricade of the place we're in. Waiting for us to come out or them to come in. 

I looked at Tyler, who woke up from his dreams. Or should I say nightmare-ish dream. That woke him up rudely. He rubbed his eyes and tried to adjust to the light surrounding our room. It's not really bright, so he quickly adapted to it.

''Hwaah~ Morning, Rere.''

''Morning, Ty. So, did you have a nice dream this time?'' He froze. But I wasn't in the mood to press on, so I let him go this time.

''That's fine if you don't wanna tell. But tell me next time, ok? I'm really worried about--''

And before I could finish my sentence, my stomach betrayed me. A growl could be heard across the room. Tyler laughed out loud. I guess I'm really hungry. Well, who could blame me? I'm working till midnight without decent meal to eat outside.

''Come on, Rere. Let's eat.'' He grabbed my hand and dragged me along to who knows where. But, I can guess it was someone we knew so well. 

''Oh wow~ it's surprising to see you here in the morning, Rere. It must be Ty's doing, right?'' I giggled at her remarks while Tyler just blushed.

''You catch on quickly, Linda.'' She seemed to enjoy her stay than me. Linda, was brought along here with me and Tyler. Not to forget, him too. Andrew. He popped out of nowhere and startled us a little. Luckily, our room was close to each other.

''Ty, What brought you here so sudden?''

''As usual. Breakfast.'' And then growl came just as soon as he mentioned it. What surprised me was it came from him. Linda just laughed and I giggled a little. Talk about karma. 

''Come inside. Lucky you, I already prepare the curry you all will like.'' We went in and thankful about who provide the shelter. I guess my suspicion can wait. But, I know sooner or later we will have to face it again. The dark truth behind this sanctuary, The Kobold Corp and The Government.
