As a cartoonist I write about many real life situations I have with my dog. I think that if Hugo could talk what would he say when he looks back at me? For instance, when I take Hugo for a walk, I watch closely as we meet up with other dogs in the neighborhood. What are the dogs thinking while they sniff each other’s butts? “Hey pal, you really need to stop eating that cheap canned food” Or when they walk side by side in front of us there must be some type of communication and I try to imagine what they would be saying to each other? “Let’s chase that squirrel”, “let’s jump into the river” or “let’s roll in that mud puddle”? You can almost sense they’re planning something. I quickly reach for my cell phone and write my thoughts down so I don’t lose that moment… Ah, there’s my new joke for the day!
