I died in 1824. Before that I wrote a memoir of my life in which I confessed all the sins of my horrid, complicated and wonderful love life. My publisher in London came into possession of this memoir. He also received my instructions to show it to the world in print. Instead, he burned it in his fireplace. I cannot sleep peacefully in my grave until the truth gets out.
