I am a primary school headteacher, professional wrestler, and podcast host. I trained as an actor and spent my twenties writing and performing poetry and plays, including two years in the Chichester Festival Theatre Young Playwrights programme (2010–2011). I also host the podcast You’re Not Allowed to Say The ‘S’ Word, which explores LGBTQ+ identity, adolescence, and representation, and led me back to writing YA fiction, poetry and plays.
