Hi everyone,
I have some sad news to share.
The first is that there will no longer be a Sound of Bread Season 2. Studio Tapas underwent drastic changes shortly after Kakao’s acquisition, and Sound of Bread was amongst the ones cancelled. Tapas holds the IP to this series, so I can’t continue it even if I wanted to.
The second is more personally painful to me, and I am still in shock that this happened - when Tapas sent over the cancellation of Season 2’s contract, they also sent over a cancellation of Season 1, which I stupidly signed because I wasn’t reading carefully. But Season 1 is complete, so all this cancels is my revenue share. That’s right, I no longer make a SINGLE CENT off any chapters you unlock of Sound of Bread, as of late last year. I’ve been working with Tapas in the hopes that this was a good faith error, but just received final confirmation that they will not do anything about it, and I am certain now that it was intentional. I’ve heard similar stories from other creators.
As such, I’d like to reverse my previous stance on pirating… Pirate away! Yes, I’m petty. At this point, I’d rather you pirate Sound of Bread than give Tapas a single cent. (Don’t pirate other series though!)

Lastly, I will no longer be publishing on Tapas. I have spent many sleepless nights agonizing over this issue, especially as I made some career changes while naively counting on my revenue share and script fees, and these days the thought of updating on Tapas literally makes me feel sick. I will also no longer be maintaining any of free community features I have made, such as tapasfans.com or the Chrome extensions. I do intend on creating more webnovels/comics in the future (still figuring out where), so please stay tuned!!
Again, my deepest apologies to the readers who have been waiting so eagerly for Season 2. Sorry and see you again... elsewhere~ TwT

Damn, so sorry to hear that happening even if I don't read anything of course. I think you should publish it, and also put this record somewhere else, off of tapas is possible. But thank you.

This is very trash behavior from tapas but this is often what happens when companies get picked up by other companies.

Reason why Background music is not working is because Soundcloud is changing their policy and it's gonna get removed
I've been waiting for a week now for episode 29 to come out and saved over 1,000 ink but it was bonus and my bonus ink was gone RIGHT BEFORE episode 29 came out AHHH NOW IM AT 25 WAAAH so now im mad because I have an adblocker on my computer so I can't get ink AND I can't go on my Ipad right now so HMMPH *goes in corner* LOL

hi all. it has come to my attention that someone has pirated sound of bread and posted it on webtoon pretending to be me and @scarlozet. this is NOT posted by us or authorized by tapas and is ILLEGAL. please join me in denouncing this behavior by reporting it to webtoons, and support us by reading the official version on tapas. <3 thank you!
OMG I am so sorry that happened to you! :( Hopefully the person who impersonated as you deletes that webtoon. I will continue supporting the real Sound of Bread manga on Tapas. Hopefully this doesn’t happen again! :)
Actually, there's 2 on canvas. The other has the author listed as CreaTions Gaming and has one episode posted June 19th (only 4 days after the tapas episode).
