On March 19th, we embarked on our first ever Writers Camp, a month-long community event and competition set to take place from March 19th until April 19th. The enthusiasm has absolutely blown us away. More than two dozen Tapas creators have submitted their stories to be considered for the two top prizes of $1,000 and the offer of a publishing contract.

Tapas’ novel-writing community has made Writers Camp everything we hoped it would be and more right out of the gate. The submissions have been a pleasure to read thus far, and we’re looking forward to reading many more over the course of the event. Creators have also been supporting each other in the forums and in comments on the Writers Camp stories that resonate with them, encouraging each participant to create the best story they possibly can.

Over the next 30 days, we’ll be working on highlighting Writers Camp participants and their stories in a variety of ways, and we look forward to hearing more from creators about the contest and what they’re working on.
