Katie (Novel Acquisitions Lead)

I'm definitely happiest about starting my job at Tapas! I figured this wouldn't be a year for anything new, so getting this opportunity was both unexpected and very, very exciting. It's been amazing to meet new coworkers and creators, and to already be working on so many amazing stories!

I'm also proud of how many books, webnovels, and comics I've managed to consume over the last few months. I haven't really been able to go anywhere, but I've seen plenty and learned a ton! Spending so much time reading, keeping my plants alive, hanging out with my cat, and chatting with my parents and friends has made a tough year a little lighter.

Reading is so fun!

Chang (CEO)

1. I'm happy that our team stayed together and remained healthy despite the pandemic and all the craziness going on

2. Our family moved to LA safe and healthy and like our new hometown so much so far

3. Happy that I stayed in shape (or at least tried to) although all gyms have been closed..

Michael (VP of Content)

Always proud of the creator and reader community for coming together especially during these challenging times. We just saw one of the most successful Inksgivings we've ever hosted during a time of extreme uncertainty. This has also been a year of tremendous growth for us, we've paid a record high to our creators and we've very proud that we're able to financially support so many people during this year.

I'm really proud of the team at Tapas - we've really come together despite us all working from home. I say it all the time, but we're really more than just coworkers at Tapas and this genuine care for one another has truly shined this year. We've been trying our absolute best to make sure that everyone is safe and healthy. I see so many of us going above and beyond on a daily basis. Special shout out to all the new Tapas members! Welcome to the family :)

Haha, a bit of personal happy moment for me is that I got engaged this year! Love ya, Ivy!

Congratulations, Michael!

Meghan (Associate Editor, Comics)

I am so proud to have joined the Tapas team this year! It's only been a few months, but I feel like I have learned and grown so much. I'm grateful to have such great coworkers and an awesome creator community.

We're so grateful too to have you at Tapas, Meghan!

Stephanie (Content Acquisition Manager)

Gonna be extra cheesy with a side of fries here and say being able to be part of Tapas is something I'm very proud of that I accomplished this year. Very glad I'm able to be here and support creators!

The other thing I'm really happy about is being able to make new friends and keep in touch with old ones despite (insert hand wave) all this. I hope in 2021 I can accomplish new and fun things like making a kite shaped like the dragon Bahamut.

Stephanie and Tapa-friends!

Isabell (Creator Happiness Manager)

Man, 2020 was such a weird year and I'm not going to miss it. Despite that, a lot of great things happened and it is great to be able to look back and celebrate the wins within the chaos.

I'm happy that all my friends and family are healthy and doing okay, that I have a job unaffected by everything and a roof over my head. I'm ALSO happy that I bought a fancy espresso machine this year, which has run every day since it arrived at my house. What a wonderful invention - best use of my money ever. (No, I don't have a problem, leave me and my cup of coffee alone!)

I'm also extremely proud of the community at Tapas, which is so dedicated and excited for novels and comics. We have pulled together and supported each other as much as we can during these trying times, which is a wonderful thing to think about.

Victoria (Creator Happiness Team Member)

So much has happened in 2020! To highlight some of the positives, I am happy that I graduated from university this year, and I started working at Tapas! I love the positive and friendly energy of this company.

I got back into art again this May after a break of almost half a decade, and I'm very grateful to have a fun hobby again. I started learning about anatomy for the first time, and I am proud I took the initiative to actively try to improve my skills!

I am also extremely proud of all the wonderful content that the Tapas Creator Community makes. Looking at the works in the comics section or reading some of your novels, I am always amazed by everyone's skill and hard work. Let's do our best together in 2021!
