We understand that you may have questions following the recent End of Service announcement. We’ve put together the FAQ below to address some of the most common questions we’ve received. 

We may not have answers to every question at this time. We will continue to update this FAQ as additional information becomes available, so please check back for the latest updates.

A.) Important Dates and End of Service

1. What are key dates I need to be aware of?

• Last day to use Ink: March 31, 2027 at 23:59 PT

• Last day to unlock episodes: March 31, 2027 at 23:59 PT

• Last day to access content: March 31, 2027 at 23:59 PT

• End of Tapas service: March 31, 2027 at 23:59 PT

B.) Ink and Refunds

1. Will I still be able to unlock episodes?

• Yes. You can continue using your remaining Ink to unlock episodes until the end of service on March 31, 2027. 

2. Can I still earn free Ink through the app?

• No. The ability to acquire additional Ink, including free Ink, will no longer be available starting October 1, 2026.

3. What happens to my unspent Ink after March 31, 2027?

• You can continue using your remaining Ink until the end of service on March  31, 2027. After the service ends, you will no longer be able to access Tapas or use any remaining Ink.

4. Will there be any sales or events?

• There are currently no plans to hold additional sales or events before the end of service. Content prices will remain unchanged. 

5. Can my purchase be transferred to another Kakao service, such as Kakao Page or Kakao Webtoon?

• No. Content unlocked on Tapas cannot be transferred to another Kakao service or platform.

6. Can I receive a refund for Ink or content I unlocked? 

• As stated in our Refund Policy, all Ink transactions are final and non-refundable.

C.) Content and Account Access

1. Will I still be able to read content I've unlocked after March 31, 2027?

• No. After the end of service on March 31, 2027, you will no longer be able to access Tapas, including any previously unlocked content.

2. Can I request a copy of my account and personal data?

• Yes. Please contact us at feedback@tapas.io.

D.) Information for Creators

The following information is specifically for Tapas creators. For creator-specific questions or requests referenced below, please use the Tapas Creator Inquiry Form.

1. What will happen to my title?

• Your title will remain available on Tapas through the end of service on March 31, 2027, unless it is removed earlier.

2. Will users still be able to purchase episodes of my title?

• Yes. Users can continue using their remaining Ink to unlock episodes through the end of service on March 31, 2027.

3. Will users be able to Support me via the Support Program?

• Yes. Users can continue to Support creators using their remaining Ink through the end of service on March 31, 2027.

4. Until when can I publish new material?

• Creators may continue to publish new material on Tapas. There are currently no immediate plans to restrict the ability to publish new content. If this changes, we will update this FAQ with additional information.

5. How can I take down my title?

• If you would like to request that your title be removed from Tapas before the end of service, please submit your request through the Tapas Creator Inquiry Form.

6. Do exclusivity clauses still apply?

• Questions regarding exclusivity will need to be reviewed based on the applicable agreement. Please submit your inquiry through the Tapas Creator Inquiry Form so it can be directed to the appropriate team for review.
