This week’s staff pick interview features one of our marketers: Jackie

1. Give us your best summary for “100 Days in Europe” for our readers.

Gia is on a 100-day backpacking trip across Europe when she crosses paths with Hayden, a young and wealthy man traveling on his own, too. Though at first, the two aren’t too fond of each other due to their clashing personalities, that slowly changes as they get to learn about each other on a more intimate level while they explore together the beautiful cities of Europe. Though it’s not a smooth sail at times, the two ultimately fall for each other, making it this dreamy love story.

2. What’s your favorite scene in the story?

There are too many! But if I have to choose...one that stands out to me happens when Gia and Hayden are driving to a new city and end up getting lost in the middle of a rainstorm. They’re both bickering about who’s a fault it was for getting stuck in the situation they end up in, but despite all that, it ends as this sweet and funny experience for the two.

3. What’s captivating about this story?

The amount of detail in the characters, conversations, and illustrations, such as the beautiful scenic backgrounds, really makes this story stand out. It’s the small details that make it feel very real and might bring some nostalgia to some people as they’re reading it. It made me feel like I was traveling across Europe with Gia and Hayden (third-wheeling??). All the sweet and quirky moments that happen throughout the story brought this warm feeling, too.

4. Who’s your favorite character?

Definitely Gia! She’s relatable in many ways and tends to see the beauty in everything and everyone around her, which is a very nice trait for the main character to have -- it makes the reading experience much more enjoyable.
