abstract In 1967, a young boy is orphaned and sent to live with his grandmother in the rural Alabama town of Demopolis. While there his grandmother tells him stories about Witches including her own youthful encounter with them. However, after discovering that these very same Witches are in their town, the grandmother whisks the boy off to one of the most opulent sea-side resorts in the South. Unfortunately, they have arrived at precisely the same time that the world's Grand High Witch has gathered her fellow cronies from all around the world to carry out her nefarious plans. At the same time, he also discovers that his pet mouse Daisy is actually a little girl who was transformed into a mouse by a Witch and unfortunately, The Grand High Witch plans to do the same thing to every child on the planet.
