Uncontrolled genetic mutations of normal cells can lead to cancer. If left unchecked, it could threaten the health and life of the person or organism in which it is found. According to the National Cancer Institute's definitions, all cancers can be considered tumors. Breast cancer is an example of a tumorous form of cancer.
