In a stormy dark rainy day, two horses are galloping as fast as they can. On top of those horses, there are two hooded figures, one male and one female. The female was also with a child.
"Daddy... Mommy..." The female child weeped.
"Don't worry, kitty cat. Mom and I will take care ofー" The father would suddenly get interrupted by a spear made of dark flames going through his body and killing him on the spot.
"HONEY!" The mother turned her left hand behind, towards the figure chasing her. Another hooded figure was running as fast as the horses. With an angry face, the mother started growling, making her hand and eyes shine red. "「INFERNAL GRASP」!" Suddenly, a giant demonic hand made of fire went towards the chasing figure. As the mother closed her hand, so did the demon hand, catching the chasing figure. "I got it!"
Starting from the tips of the fingers, extending towards the source, the demon hand's flames started to change to dark ones, like the ones that killed the father. To not get caught by them, the mother cancelled the spell. The chasing figure would then appear in the middle of the smoke, moving their lips slowly and softly.
"H-How?!" Arriving at a house, the mother took her child and entered it. "Everything will be alright, Machi... Mommy promises..." The mother said, removing the cloth from her and her kid.
The kid's cat ears twitched. "Mommy... Where's daddy?"
The mother's ears drooled, as tears formed in her eyes. Suddenly, the door would be kicked open by the chasing figure. They would remove their cloth revealing a dark, almost black, purple armor with a helmet of a monster. "Shirogane... Give me the relic..." The figure said, with a deep calm distorted voice.
Suddenly, the figure would be attacked on the back, by a weak fireball. It was the father. "Stop... Right there..." Bloodied, he stood, with his right hand on his left abdomen and left hand and eyes shining red.
"Looks like you survived..." The figure stepped once with almost no force on the ground, making the red magical glow from both parents physically break like glass. "This is the end for both of you..."
"Wait!" The father scared, fell to the floor. "Here..." He showed the figure a necklace with a red gem on it. "Just don't kill my family..."
The figure took the necklace. "The child will live..." He turns to the kid. "You're about to understand why everyone should be afraid of Akuma... And share that knowledge to foolish people like your parents..."
"Wait... What?" The mother was confused.
"...!" The father understood what this meant. "WAIT!"
The figure quickly pointed their hands to both of the parents. "CEASE, GROUVEL!" Two small dark balls would quickly touch both parents, making them disintegrate into dust. The kid started weeping hard due to fear. From outside the house, a far away horse could be heard approaching. "I must go now..." The figure literally faded into mist.
A young, white-haired boy entered the house. "Is everything okay?! I heard shouting! Hmm?"
PRESENT DAY: JAPAN, EARTH
A boy would wake up to his alarm. "Forgot to turn off the Sunday alarm..." He stood up and grabbed his phone, entering its browser. After hitting the news tab, the screen would flood with news talking about a certain person: Feliticia Sanada.
Feliticia Sanada was the only daughter of the famous japanese scientist Junpei Sanada. She had disappeared a few months ago and people started assuming she was dead.
"Mom..." The boy would mutter. This was the only son of Feliticia, Kenichi Sanada. He had short brown hair and reddish eyes. Tall and lean, Kenichi had a good body build for someone that doesn't often exercize, at least.
Leaving his room and going down the stairs, Kenichi entered the living room, finding someone. "Good morning."
"Hello, Kenichi." This tall, dark-haired man was his father, Takeo Sanada. "I have to go out for some days. Business related." He informed his son with a calm, cold voice.
"Yeah, sure." Kenichi didn't feel much for his father. In Kenichi's point-of-view, his father didn't care much about the disappearance of his own wife. It was such a bad relationship, that even Takeo was on Kenichi's list of suspects.
"If you need something or if something happens, call me immeadiatly." Takeo's silver eyes pierced Kenichi, as if giving him a warning.
"Yー Yeah." Kenichi answered. There was somewhere in the house where Kenichi had never placed a foot in, Takeo's office. But that would change today.
PRESENT DAY: XXXXXXXXX'X XXXXX, XXXXXX
Behind a small house, there's a garden filled with the weirdest vegetables. All the vegetables are identified by some wood signs with katakana on them. There's also someone watering the garden.
A light brown haired young girl with two black locks of hair hanging from both sides of her head, cat ears and tail and yellow eyes. She wipes the sweat from her forehead. "Sure is sunny today." She looks up at the clear bright blue sky.
A young man leaves the house, via the backdoor, entering the garden. "Yo, Machi. I'm going to try and hunt some food for us. Do we need water or something?" This man was tall and lean. He had white hair and light blue eyes. He also had some bandages on his face.
"I just emptied a jug of water, so you can refill that one. Oh, and can you bring me some fruit?" She smiles at him, with dirt on her face.
"Kwanfii?" He asked, also smiling.
"Yes, please!" She closes her eyes, beaning a giant smile towards him. "Have a safe trip, Taro!" She says, before turning to her plants again.
"Be right back, then." He said, closing the door to the garden.
PRESENT DAY: JAPAN, EARTH
Kenichi had a plan to enter his father's study. One day, Kenichi stole his father's keys, copied them and made him 'find' them again. Now, there he was, in front of the door, key in hand. He was nervous. After this door, there was uncharted territory. What if his father was really responsible for his mother disappearance? What if he wasn't?! WHAT IF...?! No more. Kenichi pushed these questions aside and put the key on the door. "I'm ready..." Kenichi took a deep breath and slowly turned the key. "Hmm?" He kept turning, but the key stopped right before opening the door. "Why aren't you opening?!"
"Need something?" A familiar cold voice could be heard behind Kenichi.
He turned slowly, seeing Takeo. "F-Father?"
"I forgot something at home, but then I saw my son trying to open the door to my office. The place I always said was off-limits and the same door that I changed the keyhole some days ago."
"Wait... You knew?!"
"I'm not dumb. Losing a key I always leave in the same spot? In a two people house?"
"Gh...!"
"Now... Why are you here, Kenichi? I want answers... now." That last word sounded quite like a... threat.
PRESENT DAY: XXX XXXX XXXXXX, XXXXXX
Taro prepared to fetch some food. His eyes shined orange as some small rocks flew and got together to form some sort of stone spear that he would grab. "Now... Where's our prey?"
Suddenly, a boar would leave some bushes running away from Taro. No one could ever have the reaction time to catch that boar, but even so, the rock spear would suddenly pierce the boar and take him some meters away, until it hit a boulder, destroying it.
Taro's eyes return to normal as he breathes deeply. "Still have some moves." Taro stops kneeling and walks towards the boar, until he hears something. "Hmm?" The sound was coming from the sky and it sounded like a scream. "I'm not seeing anything." He said, getting into a battle stance.
Suddenly, someone would fall some meters away from Taro, creating a mountain of dust and causing him to protect his eyes by covering them with his left arm. "Where am I...?" A dizzy voice could be heard behind some bushes.
Taro carefully went through the bushes and when he does. "What the hell?"
PRESENT DAY: JAPAN, EARTH
"So? I'm waiting." Takeo says.
"I... I was trying to make you a surprise." Kenichi takes a package out of his pocket. "Your birthday is today, so... Happy birthday, father."
"Hmm?" Takeo looks at the wrapped gift and takes it, slowly. "A gift, uh?"
"Yeah." Of course, with their relationship, Kenichi didn't want to give this gift to show his father his love and affection. No. This was all planned. A backup plan of Kenichi, if he was caught.
His father would unwrap the gift. It was a nice black wrist watch. "This is..."
"Yeah. Mother gave you one when I was younger, but I remember that one day you returned with it broken."
"I see." His father put the watch on his wrist. "Thanks." He approached his office and unlocked it. "You can go inside."
Kenichi was dumbfounded. "What? But you said..."
"What I said is in the past. Learn to adapt, son. I'll pretend I didn't see this and I'll pretend this gift was actually a gift and nothing else. Just make sure to lock the office when I come back." He says, taking something from his office and leaving the house.
Chills. That's the only thing that Kenichi felt on his body. All around it. Did this mean Takeo knew everything? No! It was not the time to think about it. Kenichi had the suspicious office opened to him now, it was time to finally investigate it.
As he turned the lights on, Kenichi was dumbfounded to find a regular old western-styled office. "Something's odd..."
The words of his father would suddenly resound inside of him, as he noticed a bookshelf with some peculiar books on it. Learn to adapt.
As Kenichi approached the books, he noticed they were some family events in alphabetic category, like birthdays of his parents and his maternal grandfather, Junpei. "Why is grandpa Junpei in here? He was a scientist, so... Are these stuff he studied?" Some books had weird titles, like "The Man with Two Souls" and "Gate Opened".
"These two are odd. And this one as well..." He grabbed a final book with the title of "Second World War". "Should I organize them differently? Maybe by chronological date? So... Junpei... World War II... My mom... Father... Now, what about these two?"
Kenichi took a paper and pen and wrote every possibility of placement of the other two books. Finally, through trial and error, he put "Gate Opened" after Takeo and right after it, "The Man with Two Souls" one. With that, the bookshelf would open, revealing a secret passageway. "So they were the last ones after all... But more importantly..."
Kenichi went through the passage and, with the help of his phone's latern, he climbed down some spiral stairs. "It's looking a lot like a movie or something... This is so weird. Even if this is not connected with my mom, what the hell is this?"
Kenichi would finally reach a room with only two things: a computer and some 3 meters tall capsule. "What the...?"
When Kenichi approached the PC, he only had a program on it. "Project PW? What's this?" As he clicked, a screen appeared, requiring a username and a password. "I don't have any... Hmm?" Kenichi would notice a sign up function.
After signing up, Kenichi finally opened the program. "What is this?" The screen now welcomed Kenichi Sanada and asked him for a letter to enter. "A letter... to enter? What does that mean?"
He tried a K. No results found. He tried an S. No results found. "Wait..." He wrote PW on the text bar and a small list appeared. "List of opened servers..." This list contained all alphabetical characters, but only five were online.
"So, the ones that are online are: C, J, N, P and T. What could they mean?" Kenichi pressed the C one and in the screen appeared for him to enter the capsule. "That thing?"
Kenichi entered it and it close, almost instantly. He started to bang the glass. "What the... Let me out!" The interior of the capsule started to shine, so Kenichi closed his eyes and braced himself for anything, but nothing happened. The capsule returned to normal and the glass opened.
After approaching the PC again, Kenichi scratched his chin. "Weird..." He read now on the screen a welcome message. "It seems it returned to the beginning. So... PW... And now, T!" The message to go to the capsule appeared again.
Kenichi entered again, now feeling brave. As the glass closed, Kenichi giggled. "It's not gonna happen anything, so..." He closed his eyes as the capsule's interiors started to shine bright. Suddenly, he would feel a rush of air on his face. "Hmm?" He opened his eyes and...
"WHAAAAAAAT?!" He was falling from the sky. "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
