"Miss, you'll be late." Her maid knocked, getting no answer, she came in."Miss?"
"Look what I did… you finished cleaning it up not long ago!" The brunette lamented the many clothes, shoes and bags scattered around.
"I'll reorganize it, miss Lyla." The worker promptly began facing that total jumble.
"Thanks, Inaya, I'll give you a bonus for this!" She clasped her hands together, going through the door.
"I'm merely doing my job, miss." Inaya executed her task, unperturbed.
The non exemplary student immediately went into the car of the year that takes her to college, the chauffeur was tired as of recently.
I shouldn't have called Amin to drive me to an all nighter shopping, he probably didn't get much sleep.
"How 's college? Anything interesting happened?" The driver casually inquired.
"Nah, boring as always." The light brown skin girl inspected her hair in the car window."Except for my lovely closet, it never disappoints me."
"Let's hope it's better today, we're here."
"Take the day off Amin." She got out of the vehicle."You deserve it."
"Thank you, miss." He flashed a big smile, the brunette entered the building, hearing her name being brought up in a chat.
"Ugh, Lyla is such an attention seeker, I can't stand her." A female classmate in glasses ranted.
"I heard her father is filthy rich." A ginger spoke discreetly.
"Yeah, he bribed all the professors to pass her." A guy with freckles added, somewhat envious.
"That's a rumor, otherwise why does she keep attending classes?" She adjusted her glasses.
"To show off my outfits!" The subject of the gossip startled them, in a thick white coat, short dress, a pair of high heels plus a matching purse.
"Now excuse me." Blinking, Lyla went into the empty classroom wishing something interesting would occur, her green eyes opened in a foreign humid forest.
I can't smell the pollution in the air, that means it's going to be a long way back to modern civilization…The plants here are weird, are they all exotic? I've never seen anything similar.
A huge lizard apparented to have been run over five times, smashed by construction debris afterwards taken in a hurry to a drunk veterinarian appeared in front of her.
"I don't usually recommend this… you should consider getting plastic surgery."
The animal roared, dripping saliva at her. Automatically, the college student threw her heels at it, despite her fear she still had the courage to shout while fleeing from it.
"It's the truth!" The creature fracassed to bite her legs due to sliding in mold, now it was trying to catch up.
I'll take it back! I wanna go home, please forgive my ungratefulness, my old life was great!
Distracted by her thoughts, the young woman collided at an old monument in the middle of some shady ruins, where a mysterious being was sealed inside a statue.
Release me…
His voice was enthralling, however this loaded lady didn't dispose of the luxury to be swayed, the aberration chasing her was getting near.
Sacrificing her favorite purse, the brunette launched it with all her might at the ugly lizard, dashing to hide behind the statue.
Now tired and weaponless, to add to her misfortune the beast was close to uncovering her hiding spot. Her present options were to become a nutritive meal or try her luck with the maligne entity. It's certain death either way.
Undo the restraining string binding me…I will save you.
"I'm not seeing it." She whispered back, examining everywhere, there wasn't anything hanging on it.
It's right in front of you, unfasten it.
Moving her hand forward, she had the sensation of being holding something, despite not viewing it. Quickly pushing it down the thin rope, unlacing it, the whole monument collapsed.
Then a handsome man of black hair and eyes, glowing dark skin surged. He was about the same height as her, who was too focused on his simple yet elegant clothing style to notice the defeated monster.
"Hello, little sheep." He waved at her, a wide grin on his lips.
"Sheep?" Lyla quickly inspected her thick white coat, understanding the nickname.
"Let's-" The stranger was cut short by her bolting off somewhere.
"Wait up, I have to get something!" Her focus shifted to the sacrificed purse, it was buried in dirt, intact nonetheless.
The young woman rummaged her things, grabbing the most essential possessions, a small case along with a perfume vial.
"Oh, my pepper spray." Listlessly storing it in her jacket's pocket, then euphorically hugging the case."My makeup!"
"... Seriously?" Stranded somewhere with a stranger and she's happy that her lipstick made it, talk about sheltered.
"It 's waterproof." The little sheep talked back, hands on her hips.
Of all creatures he could've acquired, why did he get an annoying, probably useless spoiled brat?
"I had to try to summon an otherworldly dragon…" The man massaged his temples.
"What did you need me for? Aside from my breathtaking beauty, of course."
"Worry not, I brought you and I'm about to send you back." He raised his hand, then a grey wave circled her.
"I'm not going!" The spoiled brat stamped her barefoot, somehow they vanished which caused the caster to go quiet.
"Hehe, can't skip the introductions now?" She scorned, doing a hair flip."I'm Lyla."
"Sachar." The man replied, one could sense his disappointment from miles away.
"Sachy, I propose a partnership." Going over her purse, she put on some flat shoes."Mutually beneficial."
"Partnership?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I can tell none of us enjoy being bossed around." She keenly pointed out, he briskly assented.
"I'll grant you my utmost loyalty under the condition you protect me."
"What would you have to offer?" The summoner mocked.
"Plenty actually! My glamour, wits, moral support, solid fashion advice." The young woman winked."The list goes on."
"If I agree, will you be silent?" Sachar derided.
"As quiet as a mouse." Lyla pointed at the document recently pulled out from underneath her coat.
"You carry contracts on you?" He signed, considering it odd.
"I was a law student, nothing relevant is ever left out of paper." The brunette boasted, her new partner headed off somewhere, she followed in silence for a short time.
"Sachy." The little sheep called out, then the man halted to look at her."Hadn't you promised to be quiet?"
"Therefore I did it." The spoiled brat said impertinently.
"For a few minutes." The summoner retorted.
"I'm a politician's daughter, I fulfill my oaths partially."
"Great." Sachar was starting to have mixed feelings about this partnership, not that there were high hopes in the first place.
"Anyway, why were you imprisoned, my personal ancient evil?" She curiously observed him.
"I am not ancient, I'm barely two hundred years old."
"I'm twenty, to me that sounds very ancient, grandpa."
"Everyone here lives up to at least three thousand years." He explained, seemingly bothered.
"Grandpa." Lyla cheerfully repeated to get on his nerves, her personal ancient evil sighed heavily at the anticipation of his not very bright future.
A wealthy college student lived bored of her monotonous routine, until one day, she found herself in a strange land being chased by a monster determined to make her lunch.
Cornered, she ended up taking her chances with an evil being who was sealed in the ruins nearby.
Now, together their goal is to conquer the world, since they're at it to make it a better place.
