I woke up, hearing a crash downstairs. I sat up in my bed, kicking my tattered covers aside. 

Walking down the stairs, I tried to make my presence unknown, but it was difficult, as Sedge, a shape-shifter,  could hear everything. 

I peeked into the kitchen and saw Aster, Charlie, and Ariel having a midnight snack. 

“Guys, what's going on?” I asked. Did they seriously leave me out? “This is our sleepover! You guys couldn't even be bothered to wake me up?” I teased, grabbing a seat next to Aster. 

“Sorry Fawn,” Charlie answered. She glanced at Ariel and then the two burst out laughing. 

I rolled my eyes. 

“ Make me a hot cocoa, please, Aster.” I looked him in the eyes. “ I know you can. I literally watched you last week.”

Aster sighed and got up. He magically opened the cupboards, taking out a bag of marshmallows, some whipped cream, cocoa mix, and a mug. He waved his hands around, pouring the mix into the mug, and adding the marshmallows and added milk. He grabbed it out of the air and handed it to Ariel who used a fire spell.

“ꑿꑇꐜꍬꆭ!”She said, concentrating hard. When the cocoa began to steam I finger clapped. Charlie and Aster Joined me. Ariel blushed and handed me the hot drink, and I took a sip. 

“Yummy!” I winked at Charlie. “It's like it was made by hand!”Ariel rolled her eyes, And Aster snorted.

Suddenly, we heard a scream outside. We all looked at each other, worry flooding our faces. 

“Quick,” Aster directed. “We have to see what’s wrong--”

“Before It’s too late.” Charlie finished.
