The three-eyed demon, Rozz, adjusted his tie, and looked out of the third story window. Finally, today was the day! Information about their next mission was finalized, and they could now send one of the best members of their mafia out to accomplish the impossible.
They were going to steal one of the Five Orbs of the World; Eye of King Reginald. The Five Orbs of the World were said to give power to anyone who obtained them. Of course, they were not easily obtained; they could be anywhere, from a desert, to an imperial castle. Eye of King Reginald was, unfortunately, under the protection of the Jasper Dragon. 'Nothing my best man can't handle,' Rozz thought as he finally saw the man who was to carry out this mission. Rozz opened the door for him, and smiled. "Spade, how nice of you to come! Now, let's talk business."
Spade was a scarecrow made of hay. His body was crudely shaped like a humanoid by using durable rope or string to add shape to parts of his body, from his neck, fingers and chest to his ankles. He wore a white shirt, brown coat, gloves and pants with suspenders to make sure he looked adequately humanoid. If only Spade realized that having a pumpkin for a head didn't do him any favors.
"Now, I'm sure you know all about the plans we've been making for years now," Rozz said slowly.
Spade merely stared, his empty eye sockets revealing nothing. But how is he supposed to talk without a throat, psychic abilities or a _head_ for that matter?
"I have a job for you. You can't be hurt by physical attacks, so I'm sure you can retrieve the Eye of King Reginald with ease. Are you up for it, Spade?"
Spade slowly tilted his head to one side. Rozz narrowed his eyes.
"I assure you, you will _enjoy_ the challenge thoroughly, not to mention how challenging it is to simply get to the dragon's den." Rozz persisted.
Spade was still for a while, and Rozz was afraid that he was going to refuse the offer. Spade didn't need or want money, but instead only goes for missions for the heck of it. That would have made him the perfect member, if he didn't have such high standards for a simple word like 'fun'.
Much to Rozz's surprise, Spade finally nodded his head slowly, and stood up, looking at the window. He opened it and jumped down the three stories, and landed perfectly unharmed. With that, he walked off, with a mission to accomplish.
