It is currently 20XX.

Inventors have been able to implant artificial intelligence into robots. The robots look like and behave like humans.

Artificial intelligent robots can be seen in every household. However, some owners would mistreat these robots and abandon them.

A man is taking out the trash from his shop when he sees something nearby.

At first, it appears to be a young boy laying on top of some trash.  But, on further inspection, the boy is a robot who has been neglected by his owner.

The man takes the robot inside his shop.

The robot wakes up and is surprised by his surroundings.

The man, seemingly in his 30s, starts talking to the robot.

"Hey Kid, do you know where you are?"

"..."

"My name is Vincent West. I am the owner of this cafe, AI Cafe." Vincent proceeds to explain. "I found you laying with the trash."

The robot holds his head. Memories of his time with his owner floods in. The good and the bad.

"What is your name?"

"Cody."

"Good, Cody. Come with me."

Vincent shows Cody to the lounge. He could hear voices coming behind the door.

"Poor kid. Did you see his appearance?"

"Luckily the owner found him."

"He is in good hands."

Vincent opens the doors. Cody could see their were robots and humans in the room. They were dressed in typical waiter and waitress outfits.

"Hey, Kid. You up already."

"Geez, Vincent. You should let the kid rest."

"Welcome to AI cafe."

"..."

"Come on, Vincent. You haven't explained to the kid yet."

"I was going to. AI cafe hires robots who have been abandoned to live and work at the cafe." 

Vincent approaches the robots in staff outfit.

"Please welcome Cody! He will be joining us from today!"

The robot staff gave a round of applause.
