The Heironymous Machine's strong points are the capability of the device to be "dialed in" to something, then operated with the device while maintaining that setting without having to intentionally exert one's concentration and will to maintain the concept of what one is looking for. This would be the case for sensitives, mediums, and dowsing rods. It is this requirement which introduces inconsistencies. Please keep this in mind as you proceed with your exploration and pursuit of the Abyssal.
In order to perform the calibration, you should maintain a regular journal and log of samples and the readings you are able to get off of the sample from the machine. The values should not deviate by much or by any if the machine is well calibrated and you are well accustomed to said machine.
Note, depending on the design of the Heiryonmous Machine, there may be more than one dial, crystal prism, repository, and/or stick pad. Please consult the theoretical operational manual for said devices.
For the un-initiated, the operation of a typical Heironymous device involves the following steps:
2. If your particular model requires connection to a power source, please do so.
3. Ensure all schematic circuits are in good working order.
4. Place the sample in the receptical.
5. Perform the stick pad operation while dialing in the values for all present dials. note these values in your log and highlight and deviations.
6. Repeat for all samples.
If the readings are within the norm, then you can proceed with the exploratory work.
WARNING WARNING WARNING
The device is able to read as well as write or project. So while dialed in, it is essentially dialing in the "thought" of finding something Abyssal. So... please, be VERY careful with the device and when not in operation, it is best to reset all dials to zero and ideally, separate the individual parts so that the physical schematic is no longer active or engaged.
Probing For Abyssal Vectors
So the values on the dials of the machine represents abstract values but can be thought of as a numerical vector. The more dials you have, the more accurate the vector. But once located, the values can be dialed in without having to go through the process of employing the stick pad or such.
So here is one approach, there are definitely others or variations, but this one is the simplest:
1. Come up with an _idea_ of what it is you want to find... what is YOUR idea of an Abyssal?
2. Place your hand on the sensor plate(yes, there should be one and it is probably linked with the input receptical).
3. Begin to adjust the dial and employ the stick pad, being sure to keep your mind firmly locked on the Abyssal concept.
4. Once all of your dials are set, record the values.
5. You can then reset all of the dials and ground yourself.
6. Place a sample holder into the reception receptical. Ideally something which is psychometrically viable for you. Lacking that, a grounded and cleansed shard of quartz would be suitable.
7. Dial in the values you had recorded before.
8. Placing your digit on the stick pad, inquire as to the presence of Abyssal elements and see if you get a response.
This can be repeated for different values and materials until you find one which is able to record or capture some Abyssal element for your study.
I recommend having a grounding tank nearby full of the necessary grounding elements: rock salt, blood stone, hematite. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT employ Orgonite or Orgonite-like things as they will accumulate and amplify Abyssal energy. DO NOT USE ORGONITE.
