I woke at midnight. Blinded by the city lights; blinded to see the stars. I wasn’t sure how did I know everything in front of me, everything in the past; but everything in the future.

She was staring at me with a big smile on her face. Enthusiastic. Happy at my sight. “But why?” I thought to myself, right before she started screaming… She startled me. Me… Me? Who is me? What am I?

“Y-you’re alive!” she cried. So was I dead? Was I just born? Am I the new chosen one by the hands of God, perhaps? All this useful and useless information in my head; none of it able to answer my current questions. That was, until I had a glance at her desk. Blueprints of artificially intelligent androids; robots, as many prefer to say.

This is it. This is me. But what purpose am I supposed to fulfill on this planet?
