"Mum! The Boat's 'ere!" I called cheerfully as he gazed in awe at the size of the ship.
"You're too loud Blake, callin' when I'm right here beside ya." my mother scowled at me. "It's time to start anew."
"Where even is Ember island? How big is it?" My younger brother, Zethery asked, clinging onto me as the line to the boat continued to shuffle forth.
"Zeth, It's uh... In the middle of the ocean... It's a small island I guess, maybe the size of a small town, or maybe there's only a couple families that live there... All we know is that we'll be in a massive big white house, four stories of fun and mayhem... And! We-We'll have a whole floor to ourselves!" I spoke slowly, with a forced smile.
Zeth smiled up at me and I let out a small sigh, I would miss Australia, but it was time to go. There was no one left there for us. Our Father was gone, off the face of the Earth, and my mother wanted a job, not that we hadn't been left with enough money to just sit around for a lifetime, but she said she'd be bored if she wan't working, so she'd bought a small cafe on Ember Island, called "Red's".
"It's late, you boys should go find our room and sleep until we get there." My Mother directed as we stepped onto the ship. I gave her a nod and taking Zeth's backpack, and his hand I strolled away to room 092.
"You excited mate?" I asked Zeth as I passed him back his backpack and put my suitcase onto one of the beds.
"Yeah! I'm gonna make lots of friends." He laughed and gave me a quick hug before running off to bed.
"Well then, Sleep well. See you tomorrow." With that, I quickly changed into my childish, duck print covered pyjamas before slipping into one of the warm, pre-prepared beds and drifting into a deep slumber.
