Alex woke up to a silent home. She realized she had woken up early. She looked at her alarm clock wishing she couldn't see the time. She saw the time 7:56. She had 4 minutes to just relax. She had been arrested when she was 12, and she had her birthday a few days ago. She was not allowed to have visitors until a two-year span so her mom just sent her a small card. She sighed and glanced at her alarm clock again. two more minutes. She lied down and sighed. If she didn't work today her span would be longer. SHe heard the alarm clock ring. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. She sighed and sat up. She hit the top of the alarm clock to silence it. She accidentally knocked it off her bedstand. She heard the echo off the metal walls as she got up to pick it up. She headed to the next room over which had the appearance of a kitchen, but Alex knew the only thing that worked was the fridge, and the only thing that was in the fridge was a water bottle that got refilled every time she put it back in the fridge. She opened the fridge and got the water bottle and put it in a duffle bag that was laying on the oven. She went over to the oven and turned the middle knob in a certain pattern. Left left right left left right right right. A thin metal wall behind her slid over and three switches were on the wall behind it. She pulled the two outer switches. One was small, and the other two were big. She had pulled the small one and one of the big ones. She went back into her bedroom and pushed a button hidden under her bed. A small compartment opened above a dresser, and a small turtle cage was pushed out. Alex was fairly short and could barely reach the cage, but she managed to get the turtle out safely. She walked past the kitchen and into a room with three doors. One was small about the size of Alex's turtle whose name was Dillion. The others were a bit taller than Alex. The outer doors were open. The smaller one and the bigger one on the far left. She examined the little door closely, then put her turtle in front of it, and the tirtle crawled in calmly.
