The Headquarters was in ruins, all around were nightmare figments destroying every part, Different agents getting slaughtered left and right, through this madness runs two of Altheria's newest members, Gear and Scarlette, Gear comes from a futuristic dreamscape, he wears a purple bandana with silver spikey hair, a radar over his eyes, his shiny black and purple armor glistening from the light of the flames, Scarlette on the other hand comes from a medieval world, her medieval styled armor also gleaming.

Both breathing heavily as Gear stops running all of a sudden out of breathe. "Aww is Someone tired already?" Scarlette stops and smirks at Gear with a chuckle. Gear shakes his head and smirks back at Scarlette. " Someone's a smart ass. Let's go before The headquarters fully destoryed" He starts to run again. Scarlette comes zooming past."yeah if you can keep up!" She laughs as she continues running. Gear speeds up, "get back here!" They both continue running through the enemies, Scarlette killing with her sword, slicing and dicing as Gear shoots them with his pistol, a plasma sword protruding from his cuff, using that he also sliced through the figments like butter, that is until they were stopped,"well well, two Altherians that HAVEN'T been killed, you must be a strong." A Gear and Scarlette skid to a stop and look up with confused look, above them stood a giant muscular nightmare figment, eyes glowing red. Gear looks at at Scarlette with a a chuckle."oh nooo what ever will we do?" He says with a sarcastic tone. Scarlette looks up at the figment with crossed arms."wanna fight big guy?" Her body glows white, her armor changing red and she now sports a dragon styled helmet and a lance. "Like my Drago armor?"  The nightmare figment laughed."well well seems you have some secrets, keep me entertained Altherian! I'll keep you alive longer!" 

Scarlette ran at the figment before her, Landing  a blow to it's face with little effect. "Awww is that it? COME ON ALTHERIAN, USE YOUR FULL STRENGTH" It yelled as it grabbed her arm and slammed her hard into the ground with a loud THUD, Scarlette coughing up a small bit of blood. The figment laughed as he picked her up and threw her into a wall, The impact making a giant hole. Gear just stood there, paralyzed as he witnessed the beating before him, Scarlette slowly got back on her and transformed into her Drago Armor(this will be explained later on) The armor was in the style of a dragon and was also a red, This armor also grants her a powerful lance, but it comes with a price, The wearer's speed is cut in half, But with that comes a huge boost in power.

Scarlette looked at the figment, Wiping the blood from her mouth she ran at it, swinging the lance at it, The figment dodged to the right then proceeded to kick Scarlette to the ground once more. Scarlette laid there in a daze. The figment stood over her. With a chuckles it raised its foot over her head. "I should've guessed a small weakling like you wouldn't be any fun... Time to say goodnight" It said as it was about to stomp down on her head. Suddenly a shot is fired at the figment, It was gear's pistol. "LEAVE HER ALONE YOU BASTARD" Gear said angrily through gritted teeth, His plasma blade protruding from the cuff on his wrist. The figment laughed and turned to look at Gear. "Oh so you've finally decided to step in? That's fine. I was going to kill you both eventually anyway!" 

Gear took deep breathes, thinking to himself"I can't fight if i'm pissed, I'll just end up fighting blindly" He shook his head and looked at the figment and chuckled softly before lunging at the figment, The blade slicing through it's leg alittle. The figment yelling out in pain. "AUGH YOU LITTLE BASTARD" The figment through a punch at Gear, Gear flipping over it's fist with a smirk. "Awwww did i hit a nerve?" He said tauntingly as he stuck out his tongue. The figment just got more upset"YOU DARE MOCK ME!?" It started to run full speed at Gear, Gear chuckled and shook his head as he dodged out of the way. "Let's put you out of your misery shall we?" He said as shot at the figment with his pistol, The plasma bullet piercing through it's. The nightmare figment yelped in pain as it fell over, a loud thud as it's huge body hit the ground.

Gear ran over to Scarlette and helped her up. "you okay Scar?" Scarlette slowly stood up breathing heavily, Blood dripping from her head down her face. "Y-yeah... Just fine... Don't I look it?" She chuckled weakly as Gear shook his head. "Oh yeah, You look about as fine as a piece of meat after it's been tenderized." Gear said with a grin. But not all was as it seems. Suddenly a hand grabbed Gear by the throat, Lifting him off the ground. "W-what the hell..." He said, Barely able to breathe. It was the nightmare figment he had just shot. "Next time, Make sure to finish off your enemy." It said as it looked up at him.

Suddenly a robotic voice was heard "Training simulation deactivating". The base suddenly went back to normal, No damage, No corpses, No figments running amok. The figment disappeared as well. Gear falling to the ground. He coughed alittle as he heard the words"I'm disappointed in both of you." Gear and Scarlette looked up shocked as to who they saw and the surroundings they just saw all destoryed were back to normal, Standing before Gear and  Scarlette was Commander Sarai, A veteran Altherian agent and the one who trained Gear and Scarlette, She had short Purple hair and wore what looked to a camo vest with a black shirt underneath, She also work camo jeans and combat boots. Her piercing Yellow eyes stared down at Gear and Scarlette with discontent and anger.

Scarlette looked at Sarai with a surprised look on her face."C-commander Sarai... But How!? The Base.... What happened!?" She said barely able to get her words out. Sarai just closed her eyes and shook her head. "You two have disappointed me... Gear, We brought you here because of you advanced weaponry and combat skills, Scarlette, You are a great strategist and you are usually level headed. But this time? neither of you used anything you knew, You just flew in blindly without thinking of just what you were doing. This was all a test and you failed." She sighed softly and looked at them both once again. "Also Lady Atheria would like to speak to you two." Gear and Scarlette just stood there, not knowing what to say. Giving a small nod and a very quiet "Yes Ma'am" They started walking to her office.

The halls of Altheria HQ were bare as they walked down the white hall, The sound of their shoes clicking on the linoleum floor. Gear looked at Scarlette."What do you think the boss lady wants? I haven't done anything or blown anything up....well recently anyway." Scarlette just shrugged and shook her head"I have no idea, Maybe she was watching what just happened and wants to yell at us." Gear laughed and grinned."Scar when have you ever heard her yell?" Scarlette smirked at him."Remember that incident with the lion and the flamethrower..." Gear's eyes widened then started to squint at her."That was a misunderstanding and you know it" Scarlette just laughed as the entered Lady Altheria's office. A ton of different Altheria agents sitting around an oval table. Sitting in front of them was Lady Altheria herself, Her Pink hair pulled back, She wore what looked to be a plain suit, Blue with a Purple tie, She pushed up her wireframed glasses and stood up from her chair."Dismissed" She said. The other agents stood up and walked out of the office. 

Lady Altheria noticed Gear and Scarlette enter. She walked away from the table to her desk and sat down. "Ah Gear, Scarlette. Just the two I wanted to see." Scarlette bowed to her."You wanted to see us Lady Altheria?" Lady Altheria nodded and stood up. "I did, I watched the training session you two just went through. You both know you're better than that."

Gear and Scarlette looked down. "With that said though i didn't bring you two here to talk about that." Gear looked up and raised a brow."well then what's going on boss?" Altheria walked to her window that overlooked the court yard of the base, The pushed her wireframe glassed up once again and continued to look out the window at the many Altherian agents walking through the court yard below. "There has been an influx in Figment activity as of late. Much more than we've ever seen before. Our agents have been working around the clock to make sure our world is safe."

Scarlette and Gear nodded "Yes we've heard." Said Scarlette. Lady Altheria turned around and looked at the two young agents."You two are two of our brightest rookies. But you need a lot more training. That's why i'm sending you Scarlette on a mission." Scarlette blinked with raised brows."M-me?" Lady Altheria nodded and walked over to the two, arms behind her back as she stood in front of them."Yes you Scarlette. You two need to learn how to deal with certain situations on your own. As we speak there is a small boy having a nightmare taking place in a carnival dreamscape. I want you to go and save that child." Gears eyes widened a little."A carnival...? You mean...Clowns???" Lady Altheria chuckled at Gear's reaction."Yes Gear. clowns. got a little problem?" Scarlette smirked over at Gear with a chuckle of her own."Is the great Gear scared of clowns??" Gear shook his head quickly and looked at them both, obviously trying to act cool. "O-of course not! I'm gonna be the best agent Altheria has to offer, I can't be scared of a little clown!" He said as he nervously laughed. Lady Altheria smiled softly and pushed a button her desk. Two portals appearing in front of them. "good luck Scarlette." She said. Scarlette nodded and entered the portal, It disappering behind her. "What about me boss?" Gear said with crossed arms. Lady Altheria sat back at her desk."You Gear can go back to your own dreamscape and rest. We'll need you later." Gear nodded and did a small wave to her."Gotcha, Let me know when ya need me." He said with a grin as he walked into the portal, It also disappearing behind him as well. Lady Altheria gave out a small sigh and leaned back into her chair looking up at the ceiling. "They've got a lot to work on..." She said softly with a small chuckle to herself.
