Askosverse: The Amurg DLC

Prologue

Prologue

Nov 01, 2021

Dear Basil,

I thought that since your journey here is complete now, you could help me out with a little issue. Well actually, it’s actually pretty big. Think as big as an entire region...anyway, I need your help. With the power of Fritho’s Champion on our side, I think we could save Amurg together!

When you’re ready, I’d like you to meet me at the docks in Karaka Town, and then we can take the boat over there.

Yours sincerely,
Trent Askos.

Those were the first words that Basil had to read that day. He had been left a letter at the breakfast table, detailing the words of an old acquaintance he once knew. He could faintly recall what that stranger said on his sixteenth birthday…

There was a benevolent king known as Mihai Latimer. However one day, he was banished by his own son, Blake, who used the powers of the legendary Determonarch to change reality so he would be the ruler. The other legendaries, Emparmony and Duschacla, tried to stop him, but they were no match for Determonarch's abilities. And Blake still rules Amurg to this day…

It was a strange predicament. On one hand, a large part of himself was screaming that this was a bad idea, to stay home and wait for the peace to wash by on its own accord. But another, quieter part of him wanted to help. A part of him that felt insecure, almost, about the prospect of being forgotten for what he had already done for Fritho years prior. About how without being known as a Defender of Fritho, he was...nothing. Just some nineteen-year-old Trainer who won against his birth father on what was merely a fluke.

...

And so, against his better judgement, he chose the latter.
