The name’s Bobby just Bobby and yes, I am a girl. I recently got injured in a boxing match, so I am taking some time off. My friend Trish recommended I go to a guru, so I could learn how to control my anger and decrease my blood pressure.
But I don’t see a problem its just when annoying people pop up I can't control my anger. Like for example, my new manager said I needed time off for my injury. I may or may not have blown up a little.
I'm calm now doing the breathing stuff the guru lady said. Anyway, I’m on my way to meet Trish at a diner place. It's around 10 pm and the black foreboding sky has come out just how I like it. Trish comes in with a flourish with her Zuko costume straight from an anime convention.
Trish immediately starts rattling off, “ You were supposed to come, and it was so fun. How can a best friend not come especially when I am fully embodying my character? What’s wrong with you? How could you do this to me? You prooomised!”
Uhh, I did promise but why is she so extra about it. She must want something, but I did flake on her so ill take the hit. “What do you want? As long it doesn’t cost money ill do it since im strapped for cash. Is your ex-boyfriend bothering you again? Want me to scare him?”
Trish bats her eyes “Aww I wanted to complain a little more. Anyway, it not my ex-boyfriend. You know how I play demos for games and give feedback to their developers. A developer for a new otome game needs some feedback from people who are new to the genre. So what do you think can you do it? Your taking a break anyway.”
I look at her shocked, “Look there is no way especially after the harem one, I had to suck up to seven girls and wasn’t even able to finish the game. I hated the three options thing and the girls all looked the same, so it was hard to tell them apart. No way, never going to happen.”
Trish pouts, “First of all this is a reverse harem game. So, you’re a girl chasing after guys. This game has different characteristics as well. You’ll definitely enjoy it. Oh, I get it, the real reason you don’t want to do is that you're scared. I dare you to play it.”
I have never felt such vexing anger than that moment. I shrug, “There is no difference, but I am in no way scared. It’s no big deal, of course I can do it.”
Trish rummages through her bag and passes me the game. The title of the game read Princess Pink Palace Fantasy. I have officially been tricked. She smirks, “I knew I could count on you. Make sure you finish all the routes kay” and winks. The frustration of both being tricked and dared at the same time just furthered my enthusiasm to finish the game.
We chat about the expo and go our separate ways. The next day I started up the game and was fundamentally shocked.
………. 2 months later
I finally finished all the routes and sent my feedback. Princess Pink Palace Fantasy was the worst game I have ever played in my life. The heroine literally gives her god-given powers away to her main guy. Her reasoning is that she doesn’t like blood. Are you serious? What the heck is she even saying? She literally let the four male leads kill all kinds of people including her sister.
Maybe I'm going to fast let me slow down. The background shows how she became a princess. She and her mom were commoners, but she was born with pink hair which shows you are apart of the royal family. So after her mom dies she gets taken in when she is 14. She immediately becomes the crown princess because not only does she have the pink hair but she has baby doll blue eyes which are like given by God or the Goddess or something.
So literally she is born opp as hell. Her sister Eloise Mary Lorrette is the villainess of the story, also the former crown princess. She and like two other characters were the only reasons I continued playing this god-awful game. The feedback was sent so I decided to take a nap. Little did I know that the nightmare game would become my reality.
