"How many times do I have to tell you to come down for dinner!?!" The woman in the kitchen shouted at her youngest son. Mr. Berry was returning back from his long trip after many years.

It was a special Christmas for both of them for Mrs. Berry loved her husband more than anything else. The Berry's were a small family of four, yet the happiest in the town. They lived down the market, just opposite of the Church. Everyone knew them.

"Leave him be, Mum." Logan Berry said whilst baking his father's favorite dessert.

"He hasn't eaten anything today. It's making me fret." Mum added.

"He will eat when he's hungry. Moreover, he's a good kid. Nothing to get worked up over."

"You will never know a mother's worry." Mum sighed. She was really worried about her little boy. He was eating less these days. She didn't want him to get sick. 'Kids these days, always dreaming about nonsense.' She thought.

Suddenly, a light patter was heard in the dark. A boy entered the room and stood near the fireplace. He was the youngest of all.

He was nothing like you've imagined.

Pale skin glowing under the fire...

Big eyes filled with innocence and fluffy hair that gleamed like gold...

His slender body seemed to dance with the flames as he walked.

Seeing his younger brother, Logan asked, "You okay? Wanna have something?"

The little boy shook his head and said, " I don't want to eat before dad comes. I just want some pie."

"Why?" The older one enquired.

"Give the boy whatever he wants. He might be up for a snack. Look, how skinny he is!" Mum butted in.

Logan left his work and went to the table. Cutting the biggest piece, he handed it to his brother and said, "Eat it up. Or give it to someone who needs it, but, never waste food. Okay?"

The kid nodded. Logan patted his head smiling. "Now, go!" He whispered. The boy ran off outside.

It was snowing. All the trees were covered in snow and frost. The lake behind their house was also frozen. 'It's chilly this winter.' he thought.

All of a sudden, someone stepped out of the shadows. It was a kid of his age. He wore nothing but a thin tattered shirt and pants paired up with dusty old boots.

"What are you doing here?" The former asked. " Don't you have anywhere to stay?"

The little guy shook his head.

"Are you waiting for someone?"

He, again, denied.

" Are you hungry?"

This time, he nodded.

"Here. For you. Don't waste it, okay?" The boy gave the piece of pie to his friend and dashed away.

The little guy stared at the dessert on his hand. An angel had given it to him.

Tonight....

He met an angel...

... straight from heaven....
