Nights, I sit in a creaky old desk chair behind a battered desk covered in coffee rings and post-it notes. I keep promising myself that someday I'll clean the desk off. Someday hasn't arrived yet.

Usually, I'm in Computer Geek heaven as FighterGirl on my games. There are a lot of role-playing games that I ace at, and I'd started out with guy characters, but have since changed my mind. If anyone figured it out and asked “Why R U playing as a woman?” I gave them the stock answer of “Where else am I going to get a woman to follow my orders?” With LOLs and ROTFLs in reply, they’d go away. For all those Luddites, that means they're laughing. I could hardly tell them the real reason I kept female characters. Not that they would believe it, but it was way too mortifying to admit that I’d been duped by a Demon.
