It was Toby’s 5th birthday, and all his friends were here.

But little Toby was fast asleep.

“Don’t worry, I’ll get him up,” Toby’s mom said.

She walked upstairs to her son, but he did not seem to notice. When she opened his bedroom door, she heard the alarm loudly blaring, while Toby was fast asleep.

She closed the door and shouted to Toby to wake up. However, nothing came out of her mouth. Something was wrong with the room.

Toby’s mom shook Toby awake, who groggily opened his eyes.

“You’re late for your party,” Toby’s mom tried to say, but to her shock, nothing came out of her mouth. Toby, understandably, could not understand what she was saying. This was going to be frustrating.

Meanwhile, Toby’s dad watched the kids, who were talking to each other. Then the doorbell rang.

Figuring it was the Thompson family, Toby’s dad quickly opened the door, only to get sliced in half by a chainsaw in grisly fashion. Subsequently, a man in a mask walked in, now soaked in Toby’s dad’s blood. The children looked in horror and started to scream as the man powered up his chainsaw.

Back in the room, Toby’s mom looked for a paper, but could not find one. So, she had to resort to charades. It took a while, but after a series of comical misassumptions, Toby finally realized it was his birthday.

As this was happening, the man finished with his slaughter. He listened for more potential victims. However, there was not a peep in the house. So, after taking some valuables, he got into his car and drove off. Inside the car, he took his mask off, revealing himself to be Mr. Thompson, who was recently barred from seeing his own kids.

After Toby’s mom finished helping Toby get dressed, the two headed out of Toby’s room. Finally, the sound had returned. Thank goodness.

“I need to talk to someone about that room,” Toby’s mom thought as Toby eagerly ran downstairs.

But while she walked down the stairs, Toby’s mom heard her kid scream. She rushed down, only to witness the gruesome scene that had taken place in the family room.

After calling 911, she quickly rushed over to comfort Toby, who was in tears. And only after the shock wore off would the two realize just how lucky they were.
