There was an audible flick of a switch, and the Auto-doll came to life. Her eyes turned blue as they focused on the woman kneeling beside her, blood was pouring down her chest. She held her neck tight, trying to stem the blood loss.

This woman? The Auto-doll thought.

The Auto-doll remembered this woman. She was her owner- her master. She was yelling and shaking her, telling the Auto-doll to get up. But as she attempted to stand, she found her muscles and joints would not respond. 

The Auto-doll had taken too much damage, and her power supply was running dangerously low. She started to shut down, the Auto-doll knew she could not afford to rest now.

They were trapped, backed into a corner of a dilapidated chamber somewhere deep underground. Looking over her master's shoulder, the Auto-doll saw their escape blocked by a six-limbed creature with a long whipping tail. It was preparing to finish its prey, the Auto-doll, and her master.

"Auto-doll...Mata, you need to fight, you need to get up, or we're both going to die" Her master said, frantically, she tried again to rouse her android protector, but the effort was futile the Auto-doll's body refused to budge.

"Fine, then you're giving me no choice" Pointing at the creature, her master gave her order "Mata 'as your master, I command' you get up and fight my enemy!"

In an instant, the Auto-doll "Mata" felt a burst of energy from deep within. Her emergence power source had kicked in.

 The creature pounced at its prey, letting out a deafening scream.

Mata stood, pulling her master back behind her in one swift motion, Mata's body took the brunt of the creature's leaping strike. The creature had just missed its mark, Mata's master.

Armed with no weapon but her bare hands, the android charged catching the creature by its throat. She could now hold the beast in place.

Still holding the creature, Mata involuntarily recited her answer, "Command recognized and received. This unit will fight beyond safety parameters..."

Hissing, the creature clawed and stabbed at Mata, tearing away at her already damaged flesh, exposing the metal underneath. Her already ruined clothes become little more than rags clinging to her body.

Without hesitation, Mata pushed the monster back. It towered over her at twice her size. But she was subduing it now with her new burst of unrestrained power.

Artificial muscles tightened near the point of tearing, Every servo in Mata's body spun in overdrive, They were at risk of burning out any second. But despite the danger to herself, Mata's body continued on. It was no longer her own, she was now an observer inside her self. 

Catching one of the creature's long limbs, Mata gripped tight, pulling it away, causing the beast to let out a horrifying scream as its arm dislocated from its shoulder with a loud. 'pop.'

"Mata, you need to finish this right now. 'As your master, I command' you kill the life-form in front of you" Her master's voice was weak, and her skin was turning pale. The wound in her neck was deep.

With red eyes, Mata scanned the creature. She had her answer, "Command recognized and received. This unit will terminate this non-humanoid life-form". Tightening her grip, Mata squeezed the throat of the creature choking it.

Panicked, the creature clawed with new ferocity, removing more flesh from Mata's arm. 

Gripped tight, she Squeezing, with all her force, Mata neared crushing its windpipe, before, 'Bam!' Her left arm, the arm that gripped the creature, exploded as the remaining muscle tore and the servos in her shoulder, elbow, and wrist blew apart.

The creature pulled itself back. Breathing hard, it tried to catch its breath. Unrestrained, it attempted to keep its distance from Mata now.

Disregarding her missing left arm, Mata raced forward. She was unperturbed. She could not stop until her target was dead. Inside her body, Mata battled to regain control. Mata knew if she fought much longer, the rest of her body would be destroyed either by the strain or the monster she fought.

Mata closed the distance, But the creature was prepared. Arching its back, it whipped its tail, striking Mata's face, knocking her back and removing skin around her face. Unfazed by the blow, Mata turned to charge her enemy again.

But she could only see the tip of its tail as the creature escaped through the tunnel it had come from for its ambush.

Still, Mata charged forward, ready to chase the predator turned prey back down its hole. Nothing the creature did now would stop the android's onslaught.

Mata had already entered the tunnel entrance before hearing her master call to her again. "Mata...Return to master and end-all master command orders." Her master's voice was so weak Mata almost didn't hear.

Mata's eyes turned back from red to her usual blue. Her body had, at last, become her own to control again. The pain of her injuries washed over her, knocking the android to its knees, the pain was almost more then she could bear. She worked hard to block it out.

Quickly she stood and ran back to her owner's side. With one look, Mata knew she did not have much time. Still losing blood, her master's eyes look sleepy under the crack lenses of her glasses. She would not last much longer.

Reaching to assist her master, Mata felt herself collapse on top of her. The android's power supply had reached its limit. Mata fought now to keep herself awake. She needed to help her master, her companion. But, despite her efforts, she found the task impossible.

All became black.
