Luca gasped as her head shot up from the cold hard desk in their classroom, their friends staring at them. "The bell is about to ring you, dork. Get up and get to class with us." Jay, their trans friend, chuckled. Luca hadn't been awoken by their friend though, it was the seemingly ominous voice in their head. They seemed in shock almost because of it. "I...Should probably head to the nurse shouldn't I?" They asked Jay, but Jay was confused as well. "Why? I mean I understand that you hate school, but you can't just start skipping classes-" "No, no, no! That's not it... I think I might be going mental, Jay. Y'know, crazy?" Luca let out a huff of annoyance. "Well, obviously, but why go to the nurse for that?" Jay helped Luca out of their chair and began walking to his next class with them. "Whatever you say, Jaybird." Luca laughed, earning a playful punch from their friend.

'Please don't do this, please!'

That voice... There it was again! Luca froze in place. They were at the bus stop now, alone as usual. They definitely were going some kind of crazy, but they kept suppressing their worries. What were they supposed to do after all? They had no therapist anymore, no one to talk to, and they certainly weren't a doctor, so what were they to do now? They let out a sigh, but before they could begin to get on their very late bus, something gleamed from the corner of their eye, turning to face it. A book with a shiny cover on it. Luca approached it slowly but picked it up swiftly once they got close enough, muttering a, "How peculiar..." as they opened the covers.

'You'll die by her hands.'

They yelped and slammed the covers of the book shut, threw it in their bag, and ran off to their bus, quicker than lightning.
