I lean back in my chair, it's the mass made office ones they give all employees, I’ve not worked at this location long enough to care, unlike my supervisor Jamie. Every time I step into his office I wonder if he lives there, he has a vintage tilt back chair that he never seems to leave, a mini fridge filled with his energy drinks and above his files drawer he has his notebook drawer, which is where he keeps his piles of notes from every investigation he’s done. Jamie is the hardest worker I’ve ever seen, even I can recognise he is a bit obsessive. I’m not lazy, but I have a family at home, at the very least I need to make my mom and dad dinner and take care of my niece Carol. Even though my family is the most important to me, my work is my passion, every detective has their focus, and I’m still searching for mine.
