Beauty and the Thief is mostly a passion project, and I'm strictly writing it for enjoyment. There’s no intention of paywalling it as I want this story to be loved as much as I loved writing it. 

At the same time…this is also me trying to figure out how the fuck serialization works. I have no intention of abandoning it either! I fell so in love, and deeply, with the characters, it’s all I can think about. 

As for Tao Hua, I genuinely love him to bits and see him as his own person.
Lord No-Name (you'll get his name mid-Act 1) can suck my ass. (I say this with the greatest love I have to offer).

I'm trying to establish an audience with Beauty and the Thief before posting my main novel, which is much bigger and thicker in scope.

It'll be a thirteen-arc epic set in a world I designed, with four countries, and a history that spans over many millennia. It uses cultivation, Ancient Egyptian mythology, and Heian Japan as its base, with cultivation being its main focus.
 
There will be sects, but with my own touch and twists.

And of course, it's a BL.

But all that'll come when I've confidently finished Beauty and the Thief.

It's a story I put my heart and soul into during the worst parts of my life, and in the middle of grieving. But it’s also one I don't want to start publishing until I'm certain everything is ready to serialize.

⋆𐙚 ̊.Breaks and Consistency [Posting]

I do want to preface there will be times I may need a break. I hope that can be understood.

It’s mostly mental, and I typically handle it well. It’s mostly my major issues with perfectionism (and it fights greatly with my ADHD), and add severe insomnia (anything is foggy without sleep).

Therefore, Beauty and the Thief will go through MANY revisions, and most chapters uploaded will be on rough draft to first edit.

Despite this, the bones will always stay the same so you won't have to go back to reread. That I wholeheartedly promise.

I have most of it already zero drafted and outlined, but there will be times where I'll struggle with how to structure a scene. I’m one person doing my own edits, art, outlining, and writing.

All my works will be character-driven and slow in pacing, with the plot and romance coming second. However, the romance will be the handle that actually churns the story.

My goal when writing is to buildup to something big and have it earned, not rush into romance for the thrill (god-speed if you do though). I want to create something truly memorable.

I hope that patience can also be extended when reading.

This novel, despite the first half of Act 1, is a novel that does explore darker topics.

I don't and will never stray away from difficult topics, but I also don't want to romanticize them. I want to explore them on a psychological level.

I will always try my best to warn beforehand, though I am human and not perfect. If it feels I didn't tag something correctly, don't hesitate to tell me.
