Today is my first day at a new catholic school! Its been hard with Mom and Dad getting a divorce... but it's fine, I have God with me! Oh, right my name is Abigail! I'm 17, only child, and everyone says my sign is cancer? I have no idea what that means. Anyway, first day here I come!
☆☆☆
Classes were normal; math, english, social studies, science, and the greatest of all... Art! I like going to art because you can't be judged on how you do it or when. "That's a really cool piece!" "Um, thank you!" Abigail says abruptly. "Hey, no prob, are you new?" Replied the stranger.
"Yeah, we just moved here from Texas. My name is Abigail." "That's a pretty name, mine is Alex." The teacher then cleared their throat and said, "Attention class! Class is over, have a great rest of your day!"
"Well, I gotta go, it was nice to meeting you!" "You too, see you tomorrow!"
That was cool meeting her. Abigail digs through her bag. Dang it, I forgot my notebook, I'll go get it before I leave. Abigail opens her locker door, gets her notebook, then closes the door. She notices the locker next to her with pictures. Wait, is that what I think that is!? "Omg! You watch Element Princess!?"
"Um, yeah?" She says quietly. "Who is your favorite? Mine is Aqueena!" "Um, probably Cherry Blossom Princess." "From episode 9!?" "Yeah, I like to draw her." "You need to show me sometime! Do you wanna exchange numbers?" The girl looking off guard pulls her phone out of her pocket and hands Abigail her phone.
"Sure... here's my number." She shows Abigail her number. "Cool, thanks..?"
"Sara. Sara Smith." "Really? That's a cool name!" Sara blushes. "You think so? I hate that my intals are 'S.S.' It looks stupid." "I think it's cool. My name is Abigail, let me message you real quick to make sure it works..."
Abigail messages Sara; her phone buzzes. "Yep...got it..." "Cool, thanks! I'll message you when I get home!"
"Okay, it was nice meeting you." "Yeah! Same here!" Abigail runs out the door not looking where she's going and runs into someone. "Oof!" "Ah, that's going to leave a mark." Abigail looks up to see who it is.
It's Alex. "I am so sorry, I don't know why I did-" "Its cool," Alex picks up her bag and books. Abigail does the same with her things and the two accidentally bump hands. "Oh, my bad, the book looked like mine." Alex said.
"Oh, you're in Mr. Smith's pre-algebra class?" "Yeah, I didn't see you in class."
"Ah, yeah, my alarm didn't go off when it was supposed to, so I missed first period."
Abigail nods, "Yeah, I get it, you didn't miss much; he just went over the test, and the homework. Do you need my notes or are you good without them?" " Nah, I'm good, but thanks."
"Well, I guess I should get going, but it was nice running into you." "Ha! Nice play on words."
After Abigail's parents get a divorce, she continues to stay postive when she has to move with her mom up north, and has to start completely over at a new school. Cathloic school. All girls. What could go wrong?
