Azlin paced around the room nervously.
Footsteps could be heard from the hallways and she stood straight with her hands behind a back. Waiting for anything.. As the door opened, she straightened her posture right in time.
“Commander sir!”
The boss of the spy unit stood menacingly in front of Azlin, sweat dripping on her forehead with this uncomfortable feeling in the room. Another man stepped to the side of the commander with his hands behind his back the same as her. He was tall and had a quiet vibe. He glanced at Azlin and flinched at the sight of her, turning his head away. The commander then cleared his throat ready to speak.
“Agent Azlin. Do you know why I’m here?” She widened her eyes at the statement and the blood in her face left.
“No commander I do not..”
“Then you better figure it out in the next ten seconds.”
The clock ticked and ticked, Azlin still not having courage to say the words. Not thinking of anything that could come to mind with the commander and the rather suspicious boy. The ten second mark hit and the commander spoke again.
“Any ideas? Anything at all agent Azlin?”
“No commander…”
“..Ugh…no time dawdling on it…this is the new boy here!”
The commander patted the new guys back happily while the boy looked a bit awkward. “Hes going to be spending time with you now! Show him the ropes will you?”
Azlin stuttered while thinking of the new decision.
“P-pardon me c-commander..?”
“Why so confused? Oh! well his name is Jax, treat him well..”
The commander glared at Azlin one last time before smiling and pushing Jax towards her. He then waved and left out the door quickly not letting any questions escape the agents.
The room was soundless until the first words were spoken.
“Jax was it? I’m guessing you’re new here. Well uhm! We cant be difficult since we’ll be spending a lot of our days together. I’m Azlin!”
“I-..uhm…yes..hello!”
Jax lowered his head while feeling embarrassed with having to talk with this new person he’s never ever seen before.
“Ahhh yeah I thought so when commander told me to show you the ropes. He’s scary right? When I first saw him I almost jumped out of my socks!”
She started chuckling trying to make Jax less uncomfortable. Eventually, he started laughing too making the ice break away and a new relationship expand.
“He is rather…intimidating..”
Jax’s voice let out an airy sigh before getting lost in his thoughts. He finally came back into reality when he heard subtle rustling. Azlin then opened up a wrapper and started munching on cream bread, she glanced at him and gulped the bite down her throat.
“You want some?” She asked calmly.
“N-no thanks…”
He replied.
“Then stop staring..my eyes are very good y’know!”
Azlin pouted and then continued eating until it was finished.
“I’m leaving then newbie!”
“Wait..!”
Jax called out.
She smirks and looks back, Azlin stuck her tongue out at him.
“Just don’t get in my way newbie~!”
Badump! Badump!
Jax held a hand to his heart and started slightly blushing at the pretty sight.
What was that? He thought to himself.
After a week, he could not get the imagine out of his mind. That cute smile blinded his sights and crowded his mind.
Ring..ring!
He felt a sudden vibration in his pocket, then realizing it was his phone. Scrambling to pick it up, he didn't read the name and spoke with an immature tone.
“Helloo? Jax Hues here….how may I help ya?”
A deep voice came on the other end of the line, he hiccuped when hearing it was his commander speaking. Ready for what was to come, he sat up straight listening to his new mission.
“Commander sir! I shall report to you when i succeed…”
It was time. He stood up and rushed to change his casual clothing to his work uniform. A black turtle neck, black leather pants and a mask for his disguise. In the heat of the moment, he changed his usual bashful demeanor and had a serious, alluring look. Rushing downstairs, he ran towards his matte black motorcycle that was hidden deep in his garage and revved it smoothly. He took off and rode to this unknown destination wondering what was to come.
