Finally, his mom made him board the flight. He was given a window seat and was enjoying the scenery from the window.

View of clouds during dusk, the city’s bright lights, and as they moved towards the ocean, he felt bored. Finally, he plugged his earphones and slowly fell asleep.

His mom observed that he slept and softly pulled off his earphones.

Oops, sorry guy’s, I forgot to introduce whom I am talking about right. His name is Gaurav Roy. It is the first time he is coming back to India after spending fourteen years with his uncle in the US.

After that incident which betided when he was four, Mrs.Roy ( Gaurav’s mom ) sent him to his uncle, and he has been living with him for fourteen years. And now suddenly, his mom is bringing him back to India. However, he doesn’t know the reason for his mom’s unexpected decision, but he has to respect her decision, so he is coming back.

‘Screech’ Plane landed.

“ Hey! Buddy ” Cheered Mr.Roy ( Gaurav’s Dad ) 

“ Dad!! ” 

Thappp..! He hugged his dad very tight. Even though they often have talks in video calls, seeing him directly in the flesh made Gaurav rapturous. He missed the warmth in this hug which Mr.Roy would give to Gaurav when he was a child.

“ Ohh! Will you kill me holding very tight. ” Mr.Roy said carrying a pleasant smile on his face. “ Sorry dad, I was very excited seeing you.”

‘ Vroom’ Car started. 

They started moving home. On the way to his home, the places around Gaurav reminded him of the days from his childhood he spent here. After a short period, they reached their home. Gaurav opened the door and hopped out with bliss, took a deep breath staring at his home. “ Aaahh!! I missed this home a lot. ” Gaurav said and was staring at the house. Mr.Roy patted his back “ Will you stare like that, or will you come in along with us? ” said Mr.Roy. Gaurav nodded his head.

The home with all his childhood memories. Some happy memories and some awful. He thought to obliterate that incident from his brain. But, the visuals of that incident are striking his brain now, after seeing his house. Mrs.Roy told him to forget about it, considering it a nightmare. But he still remembers that. He thinks that if he were not that stubborn, then maybe that incident would never have happened.

All of them moved inside the home. Gaurav went to his room and freshened up. He was taking a look at his childhood home and remembering all those memories.

‘Footsteps approaching’

“ Dad! Everything is the same way how they were before. ”

“ Yes! Your mom will daily clean up the room, change the bedsheets, and keeps the room in a way that you are still here. Your mom will be strict towards you to make sure that you listen to her, but she loves you and missed you a lot. ”

“ I know that dad, that is why I respect her, and I don’t take her strict behavior in a wrong way. ”

“ Aah... I know that. After all, you are my son,” said Mr.Roy, and both of them chuckled.

Then Gaurav faced down and in a subdued voice, he said “ Dad, do you miss her.”

‘Sighs’

“ Leave about that. Why are you thinking about it now? ” 

“ No dad, it was all my fault, ” said Gaurav, and a droplet of water that slid from his eyes fell on his hand while sobbing.

Mr.Roy sat beside Gaurav “ I have told you before. It was not your fault and never blame yourself for that. Forget about that now! ”

“ Even I want to, but the space for a bed on the other side of this room is remembering me all that. ”

“ Promise me one thing. You will now forget about that. ”

‘Nod’ “ Ok dad.”

“ Both of you. Enough of talking, now come down for dinner. ” Mrs.Roy yelled from downstairs.

“ Now, You will act normal, forget what we talked about, and never think about that again. ” 

“ Yes, dad!! ” said Gaurav and wiped his tears. They went down, had their dinner, and went to bed.

It was one am-midnight, and he heard slow growling from the balcony. Gaurav turned his face to look at the balcony. He saw a creature standing by the window and…

“ AARRGHH... ” Gaurav yelled by seeing at that. It is the monster from that incident, the one with two legs like a human, but it was huge. It has wrinkles all over its skin, random cuts on hands, and a deep scratch on its face with blood flowing drop by drop from its eyes and seeping into the body if it touches its body, and burning holes in the floor when they touch the base.

‘Growl’

“ Mom!!!!Dad!!!! ” He shouted, but there was no response. So he went downstairs yelling in the same way, he searched for them in their room, but he could not see any of them. On the other side, that monster was coming after him.

‘Growl’

He ran out of the house and started running towards his mom’s office. It was all going the same way as that incident, and suddenly it appeared in front of him. He tried to run aside, but he was unable to move. It was like he was frozen, and the monster opened its mouth and was about to eat him, suddenly…

‘Gasps’

He woke from his sleep, taking heavy breathing. He looked at the window, but he could not see anything. He grasped his pillow, went to the living room, and slept on the sofa.

But he was unable to sleep. Gaurav got similar dreams for a week after that incident. When he was living in the US, nothing like this happened, but now after returning to his home.

IT STARTED AGAIN.
