"Ryoko!" said Ava, my best friend.
"Yeah?" I asked, as she sat down next to me.
We were sitting on an Oak bench enjoying the nice weather during the time between summer and autumn.
"Catherine is coming to our school!" she said, her tone angry.
"The idiot Catherine who attacked me using a pocket knife in our previous school?" I asked, hoping it wasn't her.
Ava nodded, as I gasped in understandable horror. I stood up, my long dragon tail high in the air. I noticed Ava's tail was hidden unlike how she usually keeps it.
"Why're you hiding you're tail?" I asked, changing the topic from Catherine.
"Stephanie the 'angel' still annoys me for being part demon instead of any other creature." she explained, standing up.
The bell rang as we walked out of school. We only had to get out of school grounds to teleport wherever we wanted, so we walked out of the gates. As we were trying to teleport to St. Claire, we were teleported to this magical realm. In front of us was a woman with long orange hair, light skin and freckles. She had amber eyes and was wearing the classic dress for women in Japan called the Kimono.
"You both are the embodiments of autumn or aki, like I am the spirit of autumn. My name is Aki, like the season. I am a spirit so I have no tail or other features representing a magical creature or normal animal." the woman explained.
"What do we have to do?" asked Ava.
"You both are able control the timing of autumn, the effects on the different places during that timing and finally get to have a companion. Those are the basic things an embodiment of a season can do." answered Aki.
"How will we know how to do that stuff?" I asked.
"I will teach you. I will teach you both at night." Aki explained.
"Cool!" Ava said excitedly.
"Ryoko, Ava you both can go home now, we shall meet tommorow. And dont be surprised I know your names." she said, teleporting us to St. Claire.
Ava and I looked one another, realising that we both have a lot more to us than we knew. After that glance we nodded at walked back to our seperate houses.
