—What a stupid story— I remember saying that while lying in bed, lights off, surrounded by snacks. It felt like the hundredth time I’d said it, and maybe that was the reason…
The Lady of the Young Vampire is a TV and book series that I honestly loved and hated at the same time. It’s a cliché story: a girl and two guys. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad… right?
But no. The two guys are brothers. The older one, Kaius Lindverg, is misunderstood as the villain and the killer, while the younger one—who was actually the rebellious one—became the tame little boy for a few years and was suddenly “the good one.”
Even throughout the seasons, when Kaius tried to change and become the person others wanted him to be, they kept using him like armor or a weapon without feelings, just because he could stand up to others.
And to top it off, the girl was an unbearable human who thought she was special just because the younger brother, Nicolas Lindverg, was in love with her. She dared to hit Kaius and say stupid things to him, even though he could rip her head off.
But the girl didn’t care—she’d just go tattling to Nicolas.
I never liked the ending: Nicolas ends up with the girl, while the older brother pays for both of their sins in limbo.
—What a damn joke. If I were Kaius, I wouldn’t even let Nicolas talk to me like that. I would’ve ripped that girl’s head off the moment she disrespected me. I’d give her a warning she’d never forget.
Honestly, the only thing I like about that story… is imagining how I’d punish the people who mistreat my favorite character.
I turned off the TV and went to bed, never imagining I’d wake up in a strange place… full of fairies.
