To die, I have always longed for. After suffering for countless years on the battlefield I would always want everything to stop, for me to stop swinging my sword through forsaken souls. To be given a medal for my effort was nothing short of a small band-aid in my void, which used to be my heart. To be crowned monarch is nothing short of a punch to my face. My sword swung through the next man's throat, blood splattered on the mud.
To kill is something I have always done ever since I was 11. For me, to escape from my father, I had to murder him with my own hands. But already by then, my own mother had left me for dead at the age of 2. She abandoned me to the father who abused me, made me suffer through worse than death, never letting me see the light of day. Putting corrosive acid on every place of my body, burning my skin, breaking every bone, then stitching everything up like I was some sort of experiment, leaving almost no scars.
But to kill someone, I was never fond of, as I was able to think about everything. Even though, I have killed thousands upon thousands of people. I thought about the people I killed, the people's family's pain of losing. I came into fruition, words appeared as I stood atop a mountain of corpses, hatred only breeds hatred. I now muttered the words "hatred only breeds hatred", under my breath as a calming mantra.
I awoke from my thoughts on the battlefield, I looked down and saw my loyal retainer, Jake laying face down in the red-stained mud. I knew instantly it was him, with yellow silky hair, wearing a shiny silver armory coated in Gold for the kingdom's most powerful army. Having the burn mark from swearing loyalty to his majesty, me. I had forsaken my retainer, my friend on the battlefield, for him to die for me is worse than death.
Lightning struck the last battlefield, red rain poured down from the heavens, from the God who we swore loyalty, gave upon us. I yelled, for everything. I never wanted this. I wished to be happy, to be strong, but not someone important for the kingdom to rely on. I was pierced by a carbon arrow, a ki blocking arrow, spinning through the air, piercing my spine out of my stomach. My last thought before I blacked out was, a nice way to go out Orion.
This was the day of the 129th kingdom's astral year, February 27. The day named "The Dark Red Rain" marked our defeat.
Crude oil-drenched over my face, in a dark gloomy room where I am chained up to the walls in the catacombs chambers in the corrupt Purity kingdom. Dark red stains all over the brick wall almost solid as ice, blood flowing through the stone pavement. Searing pain makes it to my open wounds after the crude oil makes inside my wounds. The daily routine, to wake up, get beaten, starve, get beaten even more, and then watch my people get tortured to break me down. I cannot break, for my people!
I looked up to see the enemy king, Rey Salvador. A fat short pig. With a bad taste of clothing putting on a brown-red night robe, hair white as the snow, wrinkles like a naked dog, with an unbearable breath like a corpse.
"What brings your humble presence to this frail old man," I said gasping for air after being drenched by oil.
"Shut it, you're just 42 years old. I come here to inform you that I have now ordered your execution, public execution, and the date, the year 130th, March 12th", he conveyed with a smile.
"Aww, that's cute. You have kept me holed up for what? A year, and you're finally showing me benevolence," I smile after my sentence.
"Thanks," I say with a sinister glare while omitting a bit of ki. "Now what day is it today?"
"It's March 12th," Said one of the soldiers standing behind his majesty Rey. Trembling because of my glare.
"HOW DARE YOU SPEAK!?" Rey yelled and slapped the young knight. The soldier fell on the dark stoned floor after the sudden attack by the king. Rey later started to beat the young knight on the floor, all I heard was a faint wheezing noise, "forgi-ve me, my lo-" I heard nothing else than the shouting "DID I PERMIT YOU TO SPEAK? HOW DARE YOU SPEAK! YOU FILTHY COMMONER! EXECUTE THAT MAN FOR HIS IMPUDENT BEHAVIOUR TO THIS KING!".
The other soldier executed the order, the big man coated in black silver, with blue hair, tanned skin. Dragged the young soldier in black by the neck, away from this chamber, and started to beat him. All I heard in the catacomb were the sounds of bones breaking and the screams of a young man, begging for forgiveness and later a slice which echoed throughout the stillness in the catacombs.
The knight later returned to the chamber where his king stood impatient.
"Now where were we." Rey retorted while calming down.
"No, wher-" Rey slapped me as I was about to finish my sentence. The slap echoed into the hallway.
"Ah yes, your execution, as you could figure it out, it's today." while saying it his face lit up in a creepy smile.
"I thank thy king for his humble presence, you may go back now," I said. Making his face turn purely enraged, and I swear I heard a pop in his vein. He kicked my stomach and then spat on my face.
"I came here, for also giving you another piece of information, your kingdom's people, some rebels are going to try to save you. And we are going to kill them right in front of you," he said with a smile and turned himself around.
"GET BACK HERE, DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH THEM! GET BACK HERE" I infused the shout with ki to make it more devastating. And I heard the sound of the door being locked. "Damn it" I cursed under my breath. Face dripping from the crude oil to the stone pavement.
